Fx and Hulu on Disney+'s upcoming sci-fi body horror The Beauty is gearing up for its release this January.
What happens when a world that is obsessed with beauty gets introduced to a revolutionary super drug that can transform anybody, and a big shot uses it for their sinister motives? This FX series explores that very question. Ryan Murphy and Matt Hodgson serve as the showrunners, and the plot is based on Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley's comic book.
Even though it is a sci-fi, the series reflects a scary truth: The dark realities of how obsessed the world is with beauty standards and how billionaires feed on those insecurities for profit. It follows a pair of FBI agents, Cooper Madsen and Jordan Bennett, who are given the task of solving the mysterious killing of supermodels. But as they dig deeper, they find that it is somehow related to an STD virus that transforms people, but the consequences are often deadly.
As they unravel more secrets, they find that the mystery is tied to a shady organization run by a pharma billionaire who has now introduced a miracle drug, The Beauty, whose tagline is 'One shot to get hot.' (Sounds like a generic tagline for a weight-loss pill or beauty enhancer, doesn't it?) He can go to any lengths to save his empire, and so he employs a deadly assassin.
The FBI investigation takes the agents to the world's top fashion capitals, but can they put an end to this? To know more, watch The Beauty on the FX channel or stream the episodes on Hulu and Disney+ starting January 21, 2026.
The Beauty release schedule
The Beauty is all set to premiere on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with three episodes. The episode will drop at 9 p.m. ET. It will be available to watch on FX, FX on Hulu, and on Disney+ for a global audience.
The remaining episodes will drop every Wednesday until the season finale on March 4, 2026. The penultimate episodes (8 and 9)will be released together on February 28. While the finale will also have two episodes that will drop on March 4, 2026.
