New cast additions to Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, The Big Bang Theory spinoff

It was previously revealed that four The Big Bang Theory alums would be joining the Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, with Kevin Sussman's Stuart Bloom, Lauren Lapkus's Denise, John Ross Bowie's Barry Kripke, and finally, Brian Posehn's Bert Kibbler. However, according to reports from Deadline, two new cast additions, who've previously appeared on The Big Bang Theory, will be joining the cast.
While we're hoping it's one of the original gang members who will be joining, Chuck Lorre, creator of both shows, has been more than clear that this spin-off is meant to stand on its own and not be an exploitation of the IP. The new additions, even though Big Bang alums are not going to be reprising their old roles.
Ryan Cartwright guest-starred in Season 6 as a British college student in Penny's class at Pasadena Community College, whom Leonard was jealous of. He never returned to the show after his skit as a guest star. However, he will be joining the Stuart Fails to Save the Universe cast, but in a new role. Cartwright is set to play Kyle, a comic book nerd and a daily visitor to Stuart's comic book store. He might be another person who aids Stuart in his mission to save the universe.
Additionally, Josh Brener, who played a friend and co-worker of Stuart named Dale on The Big Bang Theory, will be playing a character named Trevor on Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. As of now, there are no details about Trevor's character on the show.
The final new addition to the cast is not a Big Bang alum. Tommy Walker, previously seen in Henry Danger and Lorre's The Kominsky Method, will be taking up the role of Gary, Denise's handsome new boyfriend. Considering the fact that Denise has a boyfriend means things between her and Stuart are not as bright as they appeared to be so far. The chaos that is created when Stuart is forced to interact with Denise's boyfriend will be comedic gold in self-pity and sarcasm.
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is the third spinoff that has spawned from The Big Bang Theory, after Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, but it is shaping up to be the most different from all three of them. With the addition of CGI elements and a distinct plot with alternate universes and world-saving, the show has a myriad of exciting opportunities in front of it.
