The Challenge 40 star Olivia Kaiser had a great run on the show this season before she was eliminated during episode 13. The elimination felt more personal to her as she was pitted against a close friend Michele Fitzgerald.
After her elimination, she joined her fellow challenger, Johnny Bananas on his podcast named Death, Taxes, and Bananas and the two talked about her showmance with Theo Campbell, and how it all began.
Olivia Kaiser gives credit to Bananas for pushing her to give Theo a chance. During the podcast, Theo Campbell was also present and joined Olivia and Bananas for a bit. All three jokingly agreed that Bananas and Theo's bromance caused Oliva to "roll her eyes" and Bananas accepted that he could understand Theo taking Olivia's side. She said:
"I never tried to break up this little romance you and Theo had, this Bromance. Did I roll my eyes a lot of the times if I didn't agree with something, yes."
Olivia Kiaser also mentioned that Theo got "less screen time" this season, and Theo also expressed disappointment about getting eliminated from the game so soon. Theo Campbell was eliminated during episode 12 of The Challenge 40 after getting pitted against none other than Johnny Bananas.
The Challenge 40 stars Johnny Bananas and Olivia Kaiser discuss her elimination task against Michele in episode 13
The Challenge 40 star Johnny Bananas invited Oliva Kiaser to his podcast and she opened up about her journey, the showmance with Theo Campbell, and her emotional elimination task against her close friend Michele Fitzgerald. Bananas asked Olivia whether she felt that her situation in the elimination round was similar to that of Kyland Horacio in Season 39.
Horacio and Kyland were close friends and they pitted against each other in the elimination round in season 39 by Olivia and the group. During season 40 when Olivia was pitted against Michele, her best friend, fans recalled the moment and pointed out that it was karma. However, Olivia explained to Bananas that both situations were quite different.
She mentioned that during season 39, they were comparatively new to and getting to know each other. She further added;
"I think 39 there were more connections and more friendships and this season it honestly felt like, it was just me and Michelle by ourselves in a little, you know, little Cave in our room. So it did Feel Like Us Against the World and I think 39 we had more connections more friendships."
The Challenge 40 Olivia also added that now when she looks back, she understands that it would have been equally difficult for Kyland and Horacio during that time they were not that close. Olivia mentioned that Nury and Horacio were not dating at that point.
She also admitted that people on X, formally known as Twitter commented that "it was a poetic justice" but she explained that Horacio and Kyland bonded more after their elimination arena. On the other hand, Michee and she were already close and therefore, it was more difficult for them to face each other and watch the other go home.
The Challenge 40 episode will air on December 18 only on MTV.
