Alicia is later shot multiple times by Roselyn, who blames her for Douda’s death. Meanwhile, Keisha gives birth at home with Emmett by her side, and his terminally ill mother, Jada, fights to stay alive long enough to meet her grandchild. The episode ends with police circling Alicia’s house and new fallout looming.

In The Chi Season 7 Episode 12, Reg gets out on bail after being arrested during an attempted break-in, and he wastes no time going after the person responsible. With help from Candice and Keith, he learns that Alicia orchestrated his arrest by manipulating Candice into setting him up.

In response, Reg plans a robbery of Alicia’s house while she’s distracted at a restaurant by Candice. The setup works. He enters the mansion, sends a message by wrecking the place, and leaves with valuables before Alicia figures it out. Though she realizes too late who’s behind the break-in, she’s now aware that Reg knows everything.

Reg avoids getting caught, but Detective Toussaint is still pursuing him, hoping a second arrest might help secure her own son’s release. The house robbery triggers more fallout, especially for Tiff, who discovers the break-in just after giving birth. But for now, Reg is free, and Alicia has a personal enemy.

In The Chi Season 7 Episode 12, Tiff goes into labor unexpectedly and insists on stopping by her house to grab a photo of Rob before heading to the hospital. That delay, combined with rush hour traffic, puts her on edge. When she arrives with Victor at the hospital, the elevator stalls, trapping them inside during active labor.

Medical staff instruct them via intercom to prepare for an emergency delivery. Victor steps in, staying calm while helping Tiff through the birth. Moments later, Tiff delivers a healthy baby boy in the elevator. When the staff eventually rescues them, she names the child Rob Junior in memory of his late father.

Tiff later calls Alicia to share the news, unaware that the woman is now in danger. Shortly after, she also learns her home was robbed, raising new concerns about her safety and stability. The birth marks a turning point for Victor, who proves his reliability and commitment.

Alicia is shot multiple times inside her house by Roselyn, Douda’s widow. Roselyn returns to Chicago after discovering a letter left behind by her late husband. The letter urges her to find whoever was responsible for his death. Initially, she confronts Nuck, who manages to deflect suspicion onto Alicia by accusing her of orchestrating Douda’s murder.

Already aware of the tension between Alicia and her brother’s killer, Roselyn accepts the story. She shows up at Alicia’s house, where the confrontation turns violent. Alicia tries to explain her version, revealing that she did plan to kill Douda but didn’t carry it out.

That admission seals her fate. Roselyn shoots her repeatedly and leaves her bleeding out. Later, Nuck stops by the house and discovers Alicia’s body, but flees before he can be spotted. Shaad and Victor, however, aren’t as lucky. Police surround the area, and their presence threatens to make them suspects.

While Keisha goes into labor at home, Jada’s condition worsens. She’s nearing the end of her terminal cancer battle and rests under Darnell’s care. Once they learn that Keisha’s labor has started, Jada asks to be taken to Emmett’s house. She wants to meet her granddaughter before passing.

At Keisha’s home, the water birth proceeds smoothly with support from Emmett and a doula. Jada arrives just in time. She sees the baby and shares a moment with her family. Emmett and Keisha name the baby after her. Jada also hears Emmett’s promise that he’s staying in Chicago to raise his daughter and help rebuild the community.

That moment brings closure. Jada is surrounded by the people she loves in her final hours. Her death is not shown, but the episode strongly signals that she doesn’t have much time left. Her appearance closes one chapter for the family while a new one begins.
