Showtime's South Side crime drama series The Chi is rife with antagonists, who are a part of the 63rd Street Mob.

Steven Williams' Quentin Dickinson (Q) was also one of the overarching antagonists in Season 1, whose son's murder in the pilot triggered the events of the show. While Q had abandoned his empire in Chicago and moved to Cuba, Jason's murder forced him to return to the crime world to exact revenge on his son's murderers.

American actor Steven Williams played the role of Q in The Chi. He is most famous for playing NYPD Detective Lt. Jefferson Burnett in The Equalizer. He has also appeared in titles like Supernatural, The X-Files, and L.A. Heat.

More on this in our story.

Quentin Dickinson, famously known as Q, was a major antagonist in The Chi Season 1, who was once an active member of the 63rd Street Mob in the South Side of Chicago.

However, after he sexually abused Tracy, which resulted in Jason's birth, she begged him to stay out of his son's life. Following this, Q mostly remained out of Jason's life, in Cuba, until he got the news of Jason's murder. This death in the show's pilot triggered Q's return to Chicago and led to harrowing events.

Upon returning, Q was hell-bent on exacting revenge from Jason's murderers, and he started to re-establish his control over the mob. Being Sonny's brother and Trice's former mentor, his connection with the mob ran deep. However, after he raided Reg's stash and killed three of Trice's men, there was a strong rivalry between the two in The Chi.

Q's return triggered a chain of events in Chicago, and his main aim was to solve the mystery of Jason's murder. After much effort, Q finally discovered that Trice and Detective Bill Wallace orchestrated his son's murder, following which he took matters into his own hands and avenged his death.

In The Chi Season 1, while Q hired Reg to take a hit on Trice, he killed Detective Bill Wallace himself by slitting his throat and letting him bleed to death. This was a turning point for Q's character, as his vendetta against his son's murderers was finally fulfilled, and now was the time for a change in power dynamics in Chicago.

While Curtiss Cook's Otis Douda Perry was an antagonist in The Chi since Season 2, he became a main character after Season 4, following Brandon's death.

In Season 5, Douda was influenced by Nuck and decided to take over Q's control in Chicago and eliminate him from the South Side scene. By this time, Q had already hit rock bottom and was addicted to gambling, which even forced him to steal ROCK's funds.

Since Douda and Nuck deemed Q unfit to rule anymore, Douda took a hit on Q and killed him, thus taking the 63rd Street Mob's control under him. After Q's death, it was revealed that he was an FBI informant against the mob.
