The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7 recap: Did Ramona's betrayal put Thony's life in danger?

As Fox's crime drama The Cleaning Lady, Season 4, is heading towards the season finale- the episodes are getting wilder and unpredictable. The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7, titled Keep The Family Close, dropped on May 6, 2025, at 8 pm ET and teased some intense, nail-biting moments.

In the previous episode, the viewers saw Ramona instruct Thony to kill Bianca, who doubted Thony and Jorge's fake marriage. Thony spared Bianca and instead blackmailed her with a secret. She tied Ramona to the bed and drugged her instead, but at what cost? Ramona knew that her deal with Hellers would backfire, putting their lives at risk.

In The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7, tensions reached a boiling point when Ramona's secret dealings with the Hellers put the Sanchez family and the cartel in danger. Meanwhile, Jorge had to make an important decision that could affect the future of the cartel.

Did Ramona's betrayal put Thony's life in danger in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7?

The episode opens with Thony holding Ramona hostage after her shocking decision to kidnap Bianca. However, Ramona reveals the truth that she struck an evil deal with the Hellers- to destroy Jorge's cartel in exchange for her release from prison. Since Ramona missed the deadline, she was sure that Heller's team would attack the mansion.

Before Thony could process the betrayal, masked assassins stormed the Sanchez mansion, killing guards, forcing Ramona and Thony to take shelter in the safe house. Hence, at that tense moment, Thony was forced into an uneasy alliance with Ramona. However, they did have some disagreements where Ramona said Thony was as power-hungry as her, which she refused to accept. When they thought that the assassins had left the mansion, they came out, but one masked guard shot Thony, and she collapsed.

However, Ramona immediately took her to Fiona's old house. Dr. DuPont, with the help of Ramona, saved Thony's life. However, a quick chat between Dr. DuPont and Ramona teased some secrets about Jorge's first wife, Vanessa's death. Even though Thony couldn't deduce what it was all about, she was sure that Ramona might be related to the unfortunate incident. Meanwhile, Thony decided to stay back at Fiona's place for the recovery period.

Will Jorge's mining deal lead to a cartel war?

While Thony and Ramona were battling for survival, Jorge met with Sam Heller, who offered him a 50% stake in his mining project in exchange for legitimate stakeholdership for Vegas' resorts. Jorge declined the offer as he wanted to keep the share for his family and not for any outsider. But Sam wasn't ready to take no for an answer.

Sam ordered his men to raid the Sanchez house and steal the mining deed papers. When Jorge learnt about the attack, he realized that the Hellers might have been involved. When Ramona confessed about her betrayal, instead of getting angry with her, he vowed to take revenge. Thus setting the stage for a bloody cartel showdown in the following episodes.

Did JD break up with Fiona in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7?

In the episode, Fiona faced an emotional crisis when her old home was put up for sale. Chris and Jaz struggled with the idea of losing their childhood home, leading to a heartfelt emotional moment when Fiona promised to fight for it. She even teamed up with Benny to launch a job app for undocumented immigrants, hoping to earn enough to buy the house.

However, her loyalty to Thony created a crack in her relationship with JD. When JD demanded that she distance herself from the cartel, Fiona refused. Thus, JD ended his relationship with Fiona.
