Netflix’s Unspeakable Sins has gained everyone’s attention with its thriller and erotic drama. The Mexican series narrates the story of Helena (Zuria Vega), who, in trying to escape from her cagey marriage with hotel magnate Claudio (Erik Hayser), finds herself on a path of revenge with nowhere to return.
With 18 episodes released on July 30, 2025, Unspeakable Sins Season 1 has depicted a story filled with betrayal, revenge, and deadly action, concluding with a cliffhanger that made the viewers want more. At the end of the series, Helena is revealed to be Claudio’s killer, whom she successfully hides with Ivan’s help. As the duo thinks that they have escaped and are free to live their lives together in Los Angeles, it is revealed that an unidentified person has been spying on them with hidden cameras in their bedroom.
This crucial revelation at the end of season 1 has perfectly set up a potential story for Unspeakable Sins Season 2.

What would Unspeakable Sins Season 2 be about? Speculations explored
In Unspeakable Sins Season 1, the Martinez family was introduced. The family shared a complicated relationship due to the ruthless head, Claudio Martinez. As depicted in the Netflix series, Claudio was an abusive husband to Helena and also abused Fernando, her son, and even his own son, Octavio.
Aside from family, Claudio had numerous other enemies, such as Fedra, who blamed him for her son’s suicide. Claudio had made Helena’s and her son’s lives difficult. Therefore, when she met Ivan, a male escort, and fell in love with him, she did not want to be trapped in an unwanted marriage. But Claudio wasn’t a man who would let Helena leave him, and he began to blackmail her with the video that he had recorded of her son’s involvement in his first wife, Cristina’s, death.
While the death was accidental, Helena knew no one would believe them and had to inform Claudio about it. He helped her and Fernando in making Cristina’s death look like suicide or an accident but also recorded everything. With this video, he tried to blackmail Helena into staying with him and leaving Ivan.
However, Helena ended up killing him. Later, with Ivan’s help, she managed to destroy the murder weapon and her clothes. They had an easy escape when one of Magic’s men, called The Lawyer, broke into Octavio’s house to avenge his boss’s death but died when Octavio defended himself.
Octavio was sure that it was The Lawyer who might have killed his father, which the police also found to be plausible, resulting in the case being closed. Helena and Ivan went to start their new life in Los Angeles with no Claudio to stop them anymore. But at the end of the series, it is shown that there is another person who has been keeping tabs on Helena and Ivan with a hidden camera in their bedroom, depicting that they might not have escaped the problems yet.
This is one of the most important details and cliffhangers that has laid out a perfect premise for an Unspeakable Sins Season 2, as the identity of the person was not revealed in Season 1.
