However, when she is in line for her flight tickets, she spots Conrad sitting alone at the airport and almost moves in his direction before the screen cuts to black, and fans’ shouts echo at the cliffhanger. Nobody knew if Belly would talk to Conrad or walk away, and the fact that every single scene from the trailer has now made it into the show meant there were no clues either.
However, the new trailer, released before the last three episodes, has a lot to unpack. The trailer starts with Belly sitting alone and solemnly on the flight to Paris, while she thinks about how everything in her life has fallen apart in the last few hours.
She takes off her ring, a sign of her decision to leave her relationship with Jeremiah in the past and look forward to the future. In the voiceover later, she expresses how the pillars of her life have fallen, and she doesn’t even know who she is anymore.
However, if there’s anything that Paris can do, it’s help a lovelorn girl find herself amid all the glamour and glitz of the City of Lights and Love.
Such is the future for Belly, as she meets new people and finds happiness, far removed from the Fisher boys and Cousins Beach, in what looks like a whole new world. However, we do spot Taylor partying with Belly and her new friends, so rest assured, their blowout in the last episode did not ruin their friendship—they will find their way back to each other.
Talking about finding their way back to each other, just as Belly starts to feel like herself—a new self removed from everything she knew before—she receives a letter. A letter that makes the new world she’s built for herself stand absolutely still.
It’s a letter from Conrad, and just as the voiceover says, “Dear Belly,” the screen goes black, cue fans screaming at their screens at the cliffhanger.
