The first official trailer for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2 released

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is returning for its second season, and ready or not, magic is knocking at your door this fall. The Russos are back, and this time around, it's not just Billie having adventures and bringing chaos with her magic, as Roman and Milo have also unlocked their magical powers.

The season description reads:

"Billie grapples with the fact that being part of the Russo family might be more complicated than she thought —especially now that she’s not the only wizard in the house. Thanks to Roman and Milo’s new magical powers, Justin is now tasked with training three young wizards for the Family Wizard Competition. As the stakes rise inside and outside the family, a mysterious new threat emerges, one that could unravel the Russos forever."

Disney recently released a brand-new trailer for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place with a surprise guest entry at the end and a September 12 release date on Disney Channel.

Billie is bringing her chaos and magic back with her for another season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, but this time around, she's not the only magical Russo. Roman and Milo have also unlocked their magical abilities, and the chaos and magic have been tripled, but so has the fun.

Justin has two more young wizards to teach for the family. He is tasked with training Billie, Roman, and Milo for the Family Wizard Competition. Roman declares that only one of them, who wins the competition, can be the Family Wizard and keep their magical powers, putting the stakes higher than they've ever been.

One would think Billie had a leg up on Roman, considering the additional year of training from Justin and the Alex Russo energy, but something seems strange when she misses while casting a spell on Roman, something that never happens.

"You missed. You never miss"

Evil is knocking on the door in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place as something sinister is going on behind Billie's suddenly lacking powers. This mysterious new threat could unravel the Russo family once and for all. Justin thinks something bigger might be going on, just as a mysterious dark figure announces:

"I will use all of Billie's power to fulfill the prophecy. "

While another declares:

"The rift will open and evil will reign."

The Russos, especially Billie, will have to lean on each other more than ever before in the new season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Billie is more scared than ever that her powers might get the better of her, and she might end up being the one who "destroys the world," but Justin reassures her, promising that she doesn't have to deal with her problems anymore, because that's what family is for.

Speaking of family, the gang decides to go somewhere safe, just to be hit by a spell as soon as they enter the room. The origin? None other than Selena Gomez's Alex Russo. Alex won their family's wizard competition, similar to the one Billie, Roman, and Milo are set to compete in, and she's more than surprised to see Justin and his family at her door, and asks her why he didn't give a heads up before coming.

To which, in classic sibling back-and-forth, Justin replies:

"Like the heads up you gave me before you showed up at my doorstep with Billie."

Alex has nothing other than a Touché to Justin's retort.

The teaser ends at this point and reveals the release date for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2. The show will premiere with two new episodes on September 12 on Disney Channel, and all the episodes will be available on Disney+ on October 8.
