About MGM+'s Robin Hood
The show will focus on the aftermath of the Norman invasion of England, and how a group of outlaws, led by a Saxon forrestor's son, and a Norman lord's daughter, fight against it. The Saxon history is rarely told in detail on television, and with this show, MGM+ is bringing a reimagining of the 2006 series. The show will also focus on Rob, the Saxon forrestor's son, and Marian, the Norman lord's daughter's love story.
The trailer begins with the Sheriff of Nottingham (played by Sean Bean) saying,
''We conquered your lands. Now we rule.''

This sets the stage for the show, as it follows the Saxons fighting to survive during a time when the Normans are hell-bent on eradicating them. Rob is going to be leading the outlaws, fighting for his people and culture.
As Robin Hood's trailer's YouTube description describes the show,
Robin Hood brings a modern energy to the classic tale of the roguish outlaw hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, and the epic love story between him and a courageous and daring Marian. It is a smart, sweeping, romantic adventure that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a heightened focus on the relationship between Rob and Marian to the beloved story. Following the Norman invasion of England, Rob – a Saxon forester’s son – and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord – fall in love and work together to fight for justice and freedom. As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, as both work together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land.
The show stars Jack Patten as Robin Hood, Lauren McQueen as Marian, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, Marcus Fraser as Little John, Angus Castle-Doughty as Friar Tuck, Henry Rowley as Will, and Connie Nielsen as Eleanor of Aquitaine.
The supporting cast of Robin Hood includes Richard Lintern as the Bishop of Hereford, Erica Ford as Ralph Miller, Ryan Gage as Spragart, Oscar Salem as Marshal, the Earl of Pembroke, Miloš Timotijević as Egbert, Tamara Radovanović, Graeme Thomas King as Prince John, Tom Mison as Hugh Locksley, Anastasia Griffith as Joan Locksley, Matija Gredić as Drew Miller, Mihailo Lazić as Henry, Boban Marjanović as Drogo, and Jelena Gavrilović as Godda.
Robin Hood is executive-produced by John Glenn, Jonathan English, and Todd Lieberman, with English having directed five episodes. The production companies behind the show are Balkanic Media, Hidden Pictures, PFI Studios, and Lionsgate Television.
Robin Hood will be released on MGM+ on 2nd November 2025 at 9 PM ET/PT
