The popular cartoon series The Amazing World of Gumball is making a comeback with a new season—and a new name. The revival, now dubbed The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, will launch exclusively on Hulu on July 28, 2025. Hulu has published the official trailer, giving fans their first peek at what's in store.

The teaser returns fans to the familiar village of Elmore, and there Gumball, Darwin, and the Watterson family are returning for more unexpected adventures and the new series, known for its blend of humor, heart, and strange graphics, pledges to stick to its original formula while bringing new plots and animation styles.

This time, the program will continue to combine several animation techniques in a single episode, such as 2D, 3D, puppetry, stop motion, and even live action. One of the most distinctive aspects of the program has always been its inventive approach, which the relaunch seems to be advancing even further.

Nicole and Richard Watterson will once again be voiced by returning cast members Teresa Gallagher and Dan Russell. But the voices of Anais, Darwin, and Gumball have been changed. The Watterson children will now be brought to life by newcomers Kinza Syed Khan, Hero Hunter, and Alkaio Thiele and the original characters' vitality and spirit are preserved in spite of the modifications.

The teaser previews a number of new, amusing scenarios, ranging from battling fast-food mascots and confronting digital mayhem to going up against artificial intelligence with emotions. As always, the program combines crazy comedy with an excellent storyline to appeal to both new and loyal audiences.

In addition to the The Amazing World of Gumball premiere, fans visiting San Diego Comic-Con on July 26 will have the opportunity to meet the creators and actors. This would be in a special panel, and attendees will gain behind-the-scenes information and a sneak peek at sequences from the upcoming season.

Composer Xav Clarke and art director Joe Sparrow will join executive producers Ben Bocquelet, Matt Layzell, and Erik Fountain to discuss the show's artistic direction.

The Amazing World of Gumball garnered a devoted following and significant praise for its uniqueness and humor over its 2011–2019 run. Six years later, the same appeal will be brought to a new platform by The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.
