In The Gilded Age Season 3 Episode 4 preview clip, released by HBO, we see the Russells are finally getting prepped for the Duke and Gladys' marriage. In the sneak peek, we see Bertha instructing the housekeepers,
"The wedding is nearly upon us. From now on, you act as a single team."
Soon, we also realize that Gladys has locked herself in the room, clearly overwhelmed and uncertain of her future with the Duke. In a rare moment of vulnerability, she has an emotional conversation before her marriage and asks for his guidance.
"What would you do?"
To which George firmly replies,
"I take no pleasure in this, but the decision must be yours."
Meanwhile, Bertha, in a surprising gesture, gifts a beautiful dress to Marian. So does she approve of Larry and Marian? Only time will tell, for now, she's busy with Gladys' wedding.
