The Gilded Age Season 3 finale

The Gilded Age Season 3 finale, titled My Mind is Made Up, is the eighth episode of the season. It will be released on HBO Max on Sunday, August 10, at 9 pm ET/PT, and will wrap up the various storylines for the season. Ahead of The Gilded Age Season 3 finale, a reporter asked Christine Baranski during an NBC 10 WJAR interview:

''... and without getting into spoilers, what can the fans kind of look forward to, coming up?''

Baranski responded,

''You know that reporters are so clever. They say, "Oh you don't have to say..." What they [fans] have to look forward to is an extraordinary final episode.''

In Episode 7, Ex-Communicated, Ward McAllister’s revealing memoir about New York’s upper class resulted in him being banished from society. Church, Borden, and Mrs. Bruce exposed André as a spy in the household, which led to her departure. After John Adams’ death, Oscar inherited his summer home and money, while Marian was a supportive cousin during his grief-stricken time. Ada, on the other hand, hosted a suffrage gathering with Frances Watkins Harper as speaker.

Mrs. Foster of the New York Heritage Society approached Agnes mysteriously during the event. Things are not yet good between Marian and Larry as she refused his visit, blaming Bertha for their separation. The success of George’s copper mine enabled him to ally with JP Morgan, secure Merrick’s railroad shares, defeat rivals, and navigate social issues.

Bertha is asked by Mrs. Astor to host the annual Newport Ball due to the current scandal around Charlotte's marriage. While George managed to solve most of his problems, someone shot a clerk at his office and fired at him.

So, we still have to see how the season ends for George, Ada, Marian, Bertha, Larry, and Gladys, among other characters.

Christine Baranski also spoke on the Season 3 performance, and her excitement about Season 4, saying,

''And you know, I gather our ratings just keep going up and up and up with every episode. And I think season three has been a great triumph for the show, and I think in large part because it took a while to establish these characters and for the audience to get to know all these different storylines, and upstairs, the haves, the have nots... now that we've established it, the audience is so invested in the storylines of these characters. So, I'm so happy we're gonna have a season 4, because we're just going to continue all these storylines and continue the journey of what's happening in America at that time, you know.''

The Gilded Age Season 3 finale, My Mind is Made Up, drops on August 10, 2025, at 9 pm ET/PT on HBO Max.
