The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets is a chilling documentary series about Rex Heuermann, the man accused of being a serial killer and brutally murdering seven women between 1993 and 2011.

The three-part series is shot at Heuermann’s Long Island home, and gives new insights into the case by featuring interviews with the serial killer’s family members. At the same time, the show also focuses on the victims and what transpired with them.

The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets is going to premiere on Peacock on June 10, 2025. The documentary is being released at a time when Heuermann is undergoing a pre-trial, which will decide whether DNA evidence can be admitted during his trial.


The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets – Release date

The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets will be released on Peacock on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The show will comprise three episodes, which will be dropped simultaneously. Peacock traditionally releases new shows and movies at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET, and hence, the documentary is expected to arrive at the same time.

To watch the docuseries, you will need an active subscription to Peacock. The streaming platform has a Premium plan, which comes with ads and is priced at $7.99 per month. On the other hand, there is an ad-free Premium Plus plan, which costs $13.99 per month.


What is The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets about?

The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets chronicles the crimes of Rex Heuermann, a Manhattan architect accused of being the Gilgo Beach serial killer. The documentary takes viewers inside Heuermann’s Long Island home for the first time and features exclusive interviews with his estranged wife, Asa Ellerup, daughter Victoria, and longtime friends.

As per the trailer, the documentary asks some difficult questions to Heuermann’s close relatives, including how they could have lived with him without knowing about the crimes he is accused of. Asa Ellerup shares how she learned about the case, and Victoria talks about remembering a different version of her father than what the evidence suggests.

In addition to focusing on the family’s reactions, the docuseries also honors the lives of the victims and explores the long investigation that led to Heuermann’s 2023 arrest. He currently awaits trial for the murders of seven women, which were committed from 1993 to 2011. Their remains were found at a Long Island beach stretch. The official logline for the show reads:

“After the arrest of the alleged Gilgo Beach killer, this documentary goes inside the suspect's home for the first time, where exclusive commentary from his own family unravels a chilling portrait of a man accused of living a double life and hiding dark secrets under their own roof.”

The documentary is produced by 50 Cent’s G-Unit Films and Television Inc. It has been directed by Jared P. Scott, who has previously worked on documentaries like Who Killed Robert Wone?, The Great Green Wall, The Age of Consequences, and Requiem for the American Dream.
