The Glory Episode 3 recap revisited: Dong-eun uncovers a startling secret about Yeon-jin's daughter

Netflix's The Glory premiered in 2022 and is considered one of the best revenge psychological thrillers of all time. It follows the story of Song Hye-kyo's character, Moon Dong-eun, who creates an elaborate plan to take revenge on her high-school bullies.

In Episode 3 of the K-drama, Dong-eun hires Hyeon-nam to gather intel on the group so that she can find their weaknesses, which would help her in taking revenge on Yeon-jin and the group. With Hyeon-nam's help, Dong-eun learns a shocking secret about Yeon-jin's daughter that she can easily use to destroy her.

In this episode, she also confronts the bully gang and threatens Myeong-oh into helping her find who was responsible for Yoon So-hee's death. She also blackmails her way into Yeon-jin's daughter, Ye-sol's, elementary school and becomes her homeroom teacher.

The Glory Episode 3 recap revisited: Dong-eun hires Hyeon-nam

In Episode 3 of The Glory, Hyeon-nam and Dong-eun make a deal. She agrees to help Don-eun in gathering intel about Yeon-jin and the others so that she can take revenge on them in exchange for her saving her and her daughter from her abusive husband.

Dong-eun hires her and tells her to start learning to drive while she tutors her daughter every weekend. After weeks of training, Hyeon-nam obtains her driving licence and is later taught by Dong-eun how to use a digital camera, allowing her to spy on the group and provide the latter with all the information she collects.

Don-eun also gifts her a car. With Hyeon-nam's help, Dong-eun learns several secrets about the gang, the biggest of them all being about Yeon-jin's daughter's colorblindness.

The Glory Episode 3 recap revisited: Dong-eun transfers to Ye-sol's elementary school

Hyeon-nam informs Dong-eun about Yeon-jin's visit to an eye clinic with her daughter, Ye-sol, in this episode. Dong-eun later learns that Ye-sol was color blind, just like Jae-joon, meaning Yeon-jin's husband, Do-yeong, was not the father of her child.

This information drives the next phase of her revenge plan. She then uses sensitive information to blackmail the Semyeong school district's chairman and transfers herself to Ye-sol's elementary school and becomes her homeroom teacher.

Furthermore, this is also the first episode where Dong-eun meets Yeon-jin and the group and confronts them in their high school gym, where they bullied her.

The Glory Episode 3 recap revisited: Dong-eun meets Yeo-jeong

While Dong-eun prepares for her revenge plan, Yeo-jeong has become a doctor, but still misses Dong-eun in his life. In this episode, they finally meet again on the train where Dong-eun was tutoring Hyeon-nam's daughter.

Furthermore, in the episode, Dong-wun also meets Myeong-oh in the abandoned terrace from where So-hee was pushed to death. She tells him that she knows who pushed So-hee to her death, but will share the information only after he helps her. He then brings Jae-joon's hair sample, with which she learns about Ye-sol being his daughter.

Apart from finding out the shocking secret about Yeon-jin's daughter, Dong-eun also catches her husband, Do-yeong's, eye after he sees her playing Go and defeating her opponents, impressing him.
