Episodes 3 and 4 of The Judge Returns will premiere on January 9 and 10, 2026. It will air at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC TV. Along with that, it will also be available through streaming platforms such as Wavve and TVING. For international viewers, it will be available on Rakuten Viki and HBO Max.

The Judge Returns Episodes 3 and 4 will be released next Friday and Saturday, on January 9 and 10, 2026. It will air on MBC TV at 9:50 p.m. KST. The release time of the episodes in other countries will be different due to varying time zones. Cord-cutters can catch the episodes on Wavve and TVING in South Korea.

What happened in The Judge Returns Episodes 1 and 2?

The premiere episodes of The Judge Returns perfectly showcased the gripping narrative of the fantasy legal K-drama. It introduced a corrupt judge by the name of Lee Han-young, who is also referred to as the 'lap dog' due to using his power to protect corrupt corporations. However, his heart begins to change after the death of a young victim of the chemical factory case, where he sided with the company rather than the workers.

On the other hand, prosecutor Jin-a builds a case against the corrupt and powerful company S-Group and learns that Han-young has been using the law to safeguard perpetrators rather than the victim. As the case against S-Group reaches the court, Han-young is told by Chief Justice Shin-jin to side with the company. But after losing his mother and wanting to follow the path of justice, Han-young gives his verdict against the company, inviting life-threatening situations for himself.

In the next episode, he finds himself with the dead whistle-blower, resulting in his arrest for murder. This was their way of eliminating Han-young after he became a threat to them. Later, while he succeeds in escaping from the prison, he is killed by Shin-jin's bodyguard.

The twist of the K-drama is introduced at this point when the dead Han-young finds himself in the past, 10 years in the past to be precise. Thinking this might be a second chance to rectify all his mistakes, Han-young decides to follow the path of justice and protect the victim rather than the wrongdoers.
