What is the story of The Judge Returns?

The series is inspired by the novel Judge Lee Han Yeong, written by Lee Hae Nal. The story revolves around Lee Han Yeong, a judge who comes from a poor background. He later marries Yoo Seon Cheol's daughter. Cheol is a character played by Ahn Nae Sang, who is the Heenal Law Firm CEO. The story takes a big turn as Han Yeong punishes a corrupt chairman. As a result, he is murdered.

While he is murdered, he is given a second chance by life as he wakes up ten years earlier in the past. He later takes Kim Jin A's support to again fight for the same, and this time, successfully deliver the justice.

In the past, Korean dramas with time travel stories have been loved by fans, some of which include Marry My Husband, starring Park Min-young, released last year, and Perfect Marriage Revenge. These stories usually follow two characters who wake up in the past, help each other, and work together to get revenge and achieve their goals.

The Judge Returns kind of follows the same concept of time travel. However, viewers will also see what new plans he will apply, now that the main lead knows what went wrong, to avoid those paths and take another way to fight the corruption.

The series follows the crime and mystery genre, with the prosecutor and the judge solving cases and standing up against powerful people.

From the trailer, Lee Han Yeong is portrayed as a bold person who is not scared to make decisions, that adds to the excitement.
