Please be prepared for the spoilers ahead.

Sydney's adversity and Frank's final choice in The Last Frontier ending

The Last Frontier episode 10 starts with Havlock and Sydney facing off with Bradford. Things get heated up as Bradford does not accept her wrongdoings; rather, she thinks that she did the right thing. This leads to an intense fight between them. Sydney leaves to take the Archive 6 drive to send it so that Bradford is caught for her actions.

However, Bradford gets away from the fight and searches for Sydney. Before the whole document is uploaded, Bradford barges into the room, attacking Sydney. Sydney somehow manages to take the drive and run away outside. However, right then, Bradford stabs her. Sydney does not back down despite the massive wound. She then pushes Bradford into the dam, taking the Archive 6 drive right before. Havelock arrives and sees that Sydney is hurt.

Frank also arrives at the location. He understands that Sydney needs immediate care; otherwise, she would not be able to make it. Using Sydney as a distraction, Havelock tries to run away. Frank then begins to follow him. Frank is almost able to catch Havlock when he tells him that he deserves to run away for the things he did to expose the truth about Bradford. On the other hand, Sydney’s situation deteriorates.

If Sydney is not given an immediate blood transfusion, she will lose her life. Episode 10 of The Last Frontier progresses with a grim tone. Frank refuses to let Sydney die. She decides to use the dogs to take Sydney to the hospital quickly. Though there was a chance that she would not be able to make the journey, Sydney is a fighter. She makes it.

At the hospital, her treatment begins right away. Frank remains outside her hospital room, pacing back and forth, worried about her. Right then, he gets a call. He is informed that Havlock was dead after he faced an accident. He quickly reaches the location; however, the body was completely charred, with no DNA to be found. There was so much certainty that it was Havlock. As the episode in The Last Frontier progresses, Frank gives the Archive 6 drive to Ted so that he is able to bring the truth to light.

Frank then goes to meet Sydney at the hospital. She survived the injury. Frank informs her about the death of Havlock. Sydney also regrets her actions. She blames herself for the deaths and is hurt that her father would not have done this. However, Frank assures her. Frank then goes to a house in the snow-capped area. He begins cleaning the house, after which Sarah and Luke return.

They discuss the issue that they were having after finding out the truth about Ruby’s death. Sarah and Luke tell Frank that they want to start over as a family. They also tell Frank that he should get rid of the gun, which he does. At the end of this episode in The Last Frontier, Frank is having a happy time with his family when he gets a call from Havlock.

He is very much alive and tells Frank that he will have to get involved, as Frank and his “little corner of the world are now the center of everything.” It is then shown that Havlock and his team are preparing to break Sydney free. It cannot be denied that the ending of the series perfectly captured the intensity with which the series started.

Though much of the storyline is tied up properly in the end, there are a few questions left. For instance, whether Havlock is able to save Sydney, or what Havlock really meant about Frank being at the center of everything. It would be interesting if the series continued with a second season, shedding light on these aspects.
