Unfolding Frank's past and Sydney's truth in The Last Frontier Episode 7
The Last Frontier episode 7 begins with a flashback scene. Frank, with his son and his daughter, visits to grab food when Frank’s daughter asks for hot chocolate. While they are grabbing their food, Ruby goes to their car to write down one of her ideas. When Frank returns to his car, he gets shot at by a car passing by. One of the bullets hits Ruby as well.
Frank watches her daughter’s life slip away as she holds her tightly in his arms. This flashback scene is crucial in depicting his connection with the gun inside his house. The scene cuts to the present day, where Frank’s team is discussing Havlock’s case. Frank decides to speak to Thiago to give them some information. Sydney also asks to join in.
However, right when Thiago begins to speak, Sydney begins to get angry and threatens Thiago. This whole conversation is getting heard by Havlock. Speaking to Thiago does not help, and they get distracted when one of the fugitives begins to attack Frank’s team members. The huge size and immense strength of the fugitive caused difficulty in stopping him. Frank gets tossed over by the fugitive. However, eventually, when the fugitive is about to kill Frank, he gets electrocuted as the power comes back on.
He was standing on a puddle of water, which caused his death. Jacqueline Bradford meets with a person with whom she discusses Sydney’s father’s connection with Thiago. It is revealed that Thiago was Sydney’s father’s "protégé". This man begins to ask if Sydney knew about this truth and tells Bradford that she needs to “contain” the situation; otherwise, things would not be good.
As The Last Frontier Episode 7 continues, Sydney speaks to Frank about her past and how he hurt people. Their conversation is laced with a distinct level of depth that resonates. Frank and his teammates discuss the images. Looking at the images, Sydney says that as these pictures are over 25 years old, the people in the photos could probably be dead. Though her words do not seem to contain any inner meaning at the end of this episode in The Last Frontier, things completely change.

Sydney realizes that Thiago might be wired and goes inside the cage he is in to find out. Frank tries to stop her, but before he is able to do so, Sydney takes out the wire on Thiago and reveals that Havlock has been listening to them all this time. Frank decides to go back home to discuss the gun with his wife and son. He reveals the truth to them, which completely shocks them.
Frank’s son, Luke, is devastated to find out that he has been blaming himself for the death of her sister when all along it was his father’s fault. Before Frank is able to explain himself further, he gets an emergency call and leaves. When he goes back, Hutch tells him that he traced the signal, and it was Havlock who was listening to them. Frank and his team quickly reach the location, but do not find Havlock there. Havelock attacks Jamal and tells him about the data he uploaded to the cloud server. He tells him to give him the location of the dedicated post to get his data back.
The chase to catch Frank begins again. Frank and Sydney decide to take a chopper to catch Havlock, as Frank understood which route Havlock would be taking. While flying, Frank reveals his past to Sydney, telling her about Ruby. They share a heartfelt moment. Soon, Frank catches up to Havlock and causes Havlock to lose control of the car and topple over.

They are finally able to catch Frank. This episode of The Last Frontier ends with Frank telling the FBI to take Sydney with them when they take Havlock. Frank returns home and sees the letter written by his wife. They are not in the house and have left him. Frank takes a photo of Ruby and goes outside his house on the swing.
He contemplates the incidents that happened recently when he gets a revelation. He realizes that the little girl in the picture was Sydney, and she is behind it all. He begins to connect the dots of the case and quickly calls Hutch to tell him that she “downed” the plane, “she’s calling the shots” and that she is the one behind all of this.
