After the explosive cliffhanger of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 in October 2024, fans have been more than just excited for any update on the release of Season 4. However, as is the trend for the streaming genre at the moment, fans were also prepared to wait for more than a year, even two, for the next season. It appears, however, that the Netflix show is prepared to exceed all expectations and deliver another season much sooner than expected.

Surprisingly, one of the showrunners for The Lincoln Lawyer confirmed via an Instagram post that filming for the Netflix show has officially been wrapped. Fans were expecting the new season sometime in 2026, but they might not have to wait that long. Here's what we know.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 might premiere sooner than expected

Ted Humphrey, one of the showrunners, recently took to his Instagram to announce that Season 4 had officially wrapped up filming and that editing and post-production for the show were already underway.

The caption reads:

"We can't wait to bring it to everyone very soon"

Even though "very soon" is extremely relative and does not give any concrete idea as to when the show might make it to our screens, we can consider the past few seasons of the show and how much time they've taken in the post-production stage before premiering. Season 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer was released ten months after filming was wrapped. However, the next two seasons, Seasons 2 and 3, were released only four and three months after their filming was officially wrapped up.

The fact that the past two seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer took less than six months in the post-production stage is extremely exciting news for fans of the show, as it means that Season 4 might make it to our screens by September or October 2025 or a couple of months later in case there's a delay, which would still be before 2026.

If Season 4 premieres in 2025, the show will have released 4 seasons in 4 years, which is an extremely consistent timeline for any show in the streaming genre, irrespective of its network. The majority of shows take multiple years before a new season is released, considering there is much more SFX, costumes, or enormous sets involved in the production of these shows. Nevertheless, The Lincoln Lawyer's consistency comes as a pleasant surprise for fans.

Fans of the show can buckle up for an exciting fourth season, as this season will place Mickey on the other side of the witness box, as he's the defendant as well as the lawyer, if the Season 3 finale and Michael Connelly's The Law of Innocence, the source novel for the show, is anything to go by.
