The Lost Station Girls is a true crime drama series that was released on Disney+ and Hulu on October 8, 2025.

The six-episode French series depicts a true story that took place in the South of France between 1995 and 2001, involving the disappearance of a teenage girl as well as the killings of three women around the Perpignan Station.

It chronicles the grueling 20-year investigation of these horrific crimes, taking us through the ordeal of law enforcement, the case of the victims and their families in pursuit of justice.

The investigation garnered national attention in France due to the baffling and prolonged nature of the case, which included a series of violent acts against young women who were all brunettes, all individually motivated by the pursuit of freedom.

The crimes earned the victims collective infamy under the moniker “The Lost Station Girls,” coined endlessly in the media as a gruesome point of reference. The series focuses on Flore Robin, a young police investigator, who begins her first case with the first victim and quickly partners with more seasoned detectives to put the pieces together.

The actual crime story behind The Lost Station Girls is based on a true series of horrible events that occurred in Perpignan, southern France, from 1995 to 2001. Four young women, all brown-haired and seemingly similar, were the victims of heinous crimes committed near the Perpignan train station during that time.

One teenage girl disappeared completely, while three others were found horrifically murdered. The victims, all aged 23 and under, were Tatiana Andújar (17 years), Mokhtaria Chaïb (19 years), Marie-Hélène Gonzalez (22 years), and Fatima Idrahou (23 years).

Tatiana has never been accounted for, dead or alive. The other three victims were discovered at different stages of mutilation and undressed; the victims had even suffered genital mutilation. Their personal belongings were never found, adding to the mystery and horror.

The murders were initially thought to be the work of a serial killer, and were often labeled in the media as the "Perpignan train station serial killer," or "The Lost Station Girls" serial killer.

The full investigation was frustratingly long and complicated, but in 2015, the murder investigation was partially solved when authorities discovered that two men, perhaps because of the way the murders were committed, had murdered the three women.

Marc Delpech was one of the men convicted in the case, first arrested soon after Fatima Idrahou's murder when a witness identified him in the car. Delpech confessed to murdering Fatima, asserting that he killed her because she rejected his advances. He was sentenced to thirty years in prison.

The case of Tatiana Andújar remains unsolved. Given the long investigatory process, the victims' vicious treatment, and the case's impact on the local community, it is one of the most infamous modern crime cases in French history. The series recounts this extended investigatory process through the lens of a young detective who wants to solve these crimes.

The narrative of The Lost Station Girls is based on the true crime case of the disappearance of one teenage girl and the homicide of three women that took place between 1995 and 2001 around the train station in Perpignan in southern France.

The six-part television show is based on a true account and centers on Flore Robin, a police detective, who started service just as the body of the first victim was unearthed. Along with police briefing Franck Vidal and mentor Félix Sabueso, Flore embarks on a relentless quest for the truth about the murders that plagued the country neighborhood, spanning approximately two decades.

The series looks as much at the experience and emotional toll of police investigation, where victims are depicted not just as statistics, but as young women with a purpose and dreams, all brown-haired and ostensibly in favor of women's liberation.

The storyline is further accompanied by the hope of the mother of the first missing girl. The story includes the tension associated with the case, and disappointments suffered by the police, motivating the police agency to filter through false hopes and administrative information in a case that unsettled the community as much as it unsettled the detective investigators.

Critically, reviews state that the show is a gripping, gut-wrenching true crime drama that fully explores the emotional and procedural aspects involved in the investigative process. The acting, especially by Camille Razat as the lead investigator Flore Robin, is acknowledged for its depth and power while it explores the unsettling topics of violence against women and the terrible journey for justice.
