The Manipulated ending explained: Tae-joong takes charge while Yohan refuses to back down

It is finally time for the end that we all have been waiting for since the beginning of The Manipulated. Right after the series dropped, the incessant push and pull between Tae-joon and Yohan kept the viewers hooked throughout.

It cannot be denied that, despite Tae-joong not having the economic power that Yohan comes with, he definitely became a perfect competitor against Yohan’s manipulations. The final episode of The Manipulated begins where things are left off in episode eleven of The Manipulated.

Please be prepared for the spoilers ahead.

Tae-joong takes charge while Yohan refuses to back down in The Manipulated Episode 12

Episode 12 of The Manipulated begins with Tae-joong taking Yong-sik and Eunbi to his mother’s place. They are now beginning the preparation for the final step to take down Yohan once and for all. On the other hand, Yohan, while preparing for his huge exhibition the next day, gets a call from the warden. The warden informs him that Tae-joong hanged himself.

Hearing this, Yohan begins to get quite suspicious. Though the warden tells Yohan that he checked Tae-joong’s body himself, it can be understood that it is not easy to trick Yohan. Tae-joong, Yong-sik, and Eun-bi go through with their plan. They understand that these sculptures that Yohan made were payment for the task of hiding the truth. As this episode progresses, Cheol-hwan gets arrested by the warden’s office with the blame of taking bribes. The next day, the auction starts.

Though Yohan’s nanny tries to win the bid, a mystery bidder wins the sculpture. Yohan’s plan to reveal his identity as the sculptor also gets ruined. He understands that this mystery bidder must be Tae-joong. He takes his bodyguards to the room from where this mystery bidder was putting his bets; however, he is completely shocked to see Do-kyung.

Right then police arrive at the location and arrest Yohan for murder and destruction of evidence. Yong-sik informs Tae-joong about Yohan’s arrest; however, he is not happy. He tells him that Yohan would be out of prison in no time with his powers.

Eun-bi follows the sculptures just as they had planned, then Tae-joong takes over. He tells her to return to her father so that she can be safe. Yohan is taken to the prison, where a man tries to ask him for money. He tells the man he does not have much time. It can be understood that he does come with a plan. Right then, a group of gangsters arrives at the police station.

These gangsters begin to attack the police officers so that they can take Yohan away. Yohan walks out of the police station with dead bodies strewn all around. It is a massacre. Tae-joong, on the other hand, reaches the location where all the sculptures are being taken.

He disguises himself as a worker so that he does not create any doubts. The scene cuts to Do-kyung getting choked by Yohan, while another employee of Yohan finds Yong-sik to kill him. Eun-bi returns to find that Yong-sik is brutally injured. The woman clicks Yong-sik’s pictures while shoving a sharp knife into his body. Eun-bi tries to fight with her; however, she is no match for her.

As this episode of The Manipulated progresses, Yohan calls Tae-joong. He is aware that Tae-joong is at the location where all the sculptures are present. Tae-joong then begins to execute his plan. Yohan begins to speed through the road to reach Tae-joong. Right as Tae-joong was about to leave the mansion, he found Deoksu waiting for him. A fight ensues between Deoksu’s men and Tae-joong. Tae-joong is able to take down all of Deoksu’s men; however, right then, Deoksu begins to attack him.

Yet again, Tae-joong successfully manages to end Deoksu. Yohan arrives at the location, telling Tae-joong that he could have become rich if he had followed his path. Yohan also tells Tae-joong that he let Tae-joong enter the mansion. It was his plan all along.

Hearing this, Tae-joong comes out of hiding to find that they have taken Eun-bi captive. Yohan’s employee tells Tae-joong to drop the knife; otherwise, she will kill Eunbi. Yohan and his employee then begin to attack Tae-joong. An intense fight begins between them.

In the end, Tae-joong finally succeeds in taking down Yohan. He shoves the sword through Yohan’s shoulder so that he is not able to move, then takes the pendrive with all the proofs. Tae-joong is finally able to unfold the truth about Yohan to the world. Yong-sik is also alive after being hospitalized. Tae-joong is finally cleared of all the charges and is found not guilty in court.

The Manipulated perfectly captures the struggle of an innocent man as he fights against the criminals to prove his innocence to the world. At the very end of this episode of The Manipulated, Tae-joong opens a cafe, however. Yohan, on the other hand, though announced dead in the news after getting burned in his mansion, leaves us with many questions. This is because there is a scene right before the credits roll where a shadowy figure is sitting in Yohan’s lab, looking at the screen just as Yohan did.
