The Manipulated Episode 11 recap: Tae-joong's desperate attempt to make things right

The Manipulated is finally almost at an end. The penultimate episode of The Manipulated perfectly captures the essence of urgency. This urgency is the crucial aspect of the storyline. It also perfectly created the atmosphere required for the thrilling end.

In Episode 11 of The Manipulated, Yong-sik faces a dangerous situation. Yong-sik's daughter, Eun-bi, also realizes that her father’s fate is in the hands of the wrongdoers. However, the most crucial aspect of this episode is the manner in which Tae-joong handles it all.

Tae-joong’s desperate attempt to make things right in The Manipulated Episode 11

Episode 11 of The Manipulated begins with Yon-sik getting arrested. Hwang, the corrupt police officer, is delighted to finally arrest Yong-sik. However, Cheol-hwan tries to ask why Yong-sik is getting arrested instead of Tae-joong. Eun-bi tries her best to stop the arrest. She is unable to do anything. At the station, Yong-sik is told that his DNA was found at the location of the murder of the Assemblyman.

Hence, the police are sure that he is the killer. Yong-sik tries to make them understand that he is not the killer. However, the planted evidence is enough to incriminate him. On the other hand, Tae-joong finds out that Yong-sik is arrested. He understands that he needs to do something about it. He reaches Yong-sik’s shop. There, he meets with a devastated Eun-bi. He tells her that he will fix everything. He then leaves.

Yohan is preparing for his 100th sculpture exhibition. This event is going to be a huge one for him. He also wants to reveal the true identity of the sculpture. He was hiding his identity. Tae-joong calls Yohan to ask him about Yong-sik’s situation. Yohan tells him that if he had called him earlier, he would not have involved Yong-sik in this whole situation.

Yohan then tells Tae-joong to go to a location. At the location, he kept a box that contained a blank cheque along with the murder weapon. Yohan gives Tae-joong two choices. He also indicates that Tae-joong should choose the money. He wants Tae-joong to let Yong-sik die in prison. At the prison, Yong-sik begins to think about Eun-bi’s childhood. He thinks about the videos he took of Eun-bi. A flashback scene is shown in this moment in The Manipulated.

It is shown that Eun-bi tried to stay in contact with Yong-sik while he was sent to prison. However, Yong-sik did not want that. So he told her to stop coming. The next day, Eun-bi arrives to speak to Yong-sik. Yong-sik tells her the location of the money he kept for her. He also gives her the assurance that she should not worry about him.

As the episode of The Manipulated progresses, Cheol-hwan finds out that Yong-sik accepted the charges of murder. He quickly reaches the location where he was being questioned. Yong-sik tells the investigators that he was the killer. Cheol-hwan then tells Hwang that Yong-sik is lying. However, Hwang threatens Cheol-hwan. Hwang tells him to stay in his lane.

The scene then cuts to Tae-joong. He reaches the police station to confess. He tells everyone that he is the murderer. He also comes with the murder weapon. As Tae-joong confessed, Yong-sik is released. Hwang informs Yohan about Tae-joong’s arrest, which completely irritates Yohan. He then arrives at the prison to speak to Tae-joong.

Yohan tells Tae-joong that he should have chosen the money. However, Tae-joong is not interested in speaking to him. It can be understood that Yohan is irritated at Tae-joong’s decision to confess. He angrily leaves the police station while calling the warden. He orders the warden to end Tae-joong. The next day, Cheol-hwan arrives at the police station.

He then takes Tae-joong to prison. However, midway on their journey, Cheol-hwan takes a detour with Tae-joong. He then tells him to escape. Tae-joong is completely shocked at Cheol-hwan’s decision. He follows the road that Cheol-hwan informs him about. He finds Yong-sik and Eun-bi waiting for him.

At the end of this episode of The Manipulated, there is another flashback scene. In this scene, Tae-joong gives the evidence to Cheol-hwan so that he would understand the whole situation.

This was the reason why Cheol-hwan chose to save Tae-joong. Cheol-hwan then goes to the warden’s office to lie to Yohan. The eleventh episode of The Manipulated is all about setting the stage for the final face-off between Yohan and Tae-joong.
