The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 2: Alex fights back

Alex Levy (Jennifer Anniston) is still the face of UBN, but the main question is, for how long? The episode opens with her facing the fallout from the Roya scandal. The network has its doubts. Stella and Celline show Alex surveillance footage suggesting she knew Roya before the broadcast. The problem? The video is a deepfake. Alex is furious and shaken. Being investigated by her own network cuts deep, and the discovery that she is being monitored feels like betrayal.

Rather than wait any longer, Alex takes control. She tries to go back to The Morning Show to address the controversy, but she is blocked. She then decides to head to Brodie's primetime show, the one place where she can speak unfiltered. This is Alex at her most defiant. She turns a protest blockade into an on-ground broadcast moment while covered in coal and dust, refusing to back down. Although it does not clear her of the charges, she emerges as a hero.

The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 2: Bradley's dangerous pursuit

While Alex wrestles with her image, Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) is chasing something bigger, and that's the Wolf River story. It's an environmental scandal with ties to UBA's past, and Bradley is determined to dig it up. Her first scene shows her texting her source, who refuses to meet inside the building. Instead, Bradley heads to the park and waits. The tension is quiet but sharp.

Chip (Mark Duplass) joins her reluctantly. He remembers fragments of the story from years ago and narrates a few events that might turn into the biggest nightmare for UBA. Bradley's source never arrives, but a clue emerges. Chip notices British spellings in the texts. As per Chip, the clues point to Claire Conway (Ben Powley), the former production assistant.

The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 2: Cory turns the tables

Cory might have been outmaneuvered last season, but he's far from finished. The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 2 gives him some of his sharpest moments yet. After being denied film funding by Stella, Cory finds a way to gain leverage. He finds Stella's lighter in Miles' studio, and it's quite clear that he might use it to blackmail Stella.

By the final act, Cory makes it clear that he wants back in at UBA. This isn't just about money. It's about power, and Cory thrives when he's close to the fire. Stella may think she can manage him, but this is Cory Ellison.

In the end, Alex is cleared of her accusations, but the battle has just begun. Her live-stream protest has turned her into a symbol of media courage. Bradley has a name for her source, but no story yet. And Cory? He's smiling which means he's ready to bring someone down.
