The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 6: Stella's career hits rock bottom

Stella's gamble with artificial intelligence finally comes back to destroy her. This episode of The Morning Show, Season 4, opens with her reflective narration, a voiceover about power and identity that sets the tone for what's to come. Here, we see absent-minded Stella rushing through the airport.
"There's safety in numbers. They're rational. They behave. Put them in order, and you can write programs. You can code. But shift one element and it all falls apart."
Let's roll back into what put her in such a position. Stella's innovation, an AI version of herself to revolutionize Olympic coverage, is glitching. The system isn't ready, but UBN has already promised a groundbreaking reveal to the world.
As pressure mounts, Stella finds herself boxed in on every side. Chris, the network's face for the Olympics, demands a better deal and threatens to boycott the games. Celine, UBN's sharp and calculating board chair, uses the opportunity to push Stella closer to the edge. And then there's Miles, Stella's so-called lover and confidant, whose commitment flatters when she needs him most. Back at the office, the eye-opening conversation between AI Stella and Stella reflects not only where she has outshone but also her failures.
When Stella debuts the AI Program at the press event, it goes catastrophically wrong. (Thanks to Kabir, the journalist who Chips met previously, who wanted some dirt on UBN in return for a favor). The digital Stella begins spilling private confessions about her insecurities, her ambition, and her affair with Miles to the audience. Later, Alex clarifies that Stella Bak has resigned from UBN.
The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 6: Celine's ruthless rise and Stella's lonely goodbye
As Stella's downfall unfolds, Celine moves with quiet precision. She doesn't need to destroy Stella; Stella does that to herself. But Celine makes sure she's standing in the right place when the dust settles. By the episode's end, she has been named acting CEO of UBN, a title she claims without a hint of guilt.
For Stella, there's no redemption. She writes a letter to Mia, apologizing and admitting defeat. Mia also finds a pendrive attached. Stella's ambition once carried her into rooms few women of color ever reached. But those same ambitions became weapons turned inward.
Her personal life is also a mess. Miles doesn't come to the airport to accompany her. Manipulated by Celine, he chooses reputation over their relationship. Stella boards the plane for Naples all alone.
The Morning Show Season 4 Episode 6: Alex, Cory, and the true culprit behind the Wolf River scandal
Stella asks Alex for help, as she's sure that Chris will not be a part of O24 (Stella wasn't impressed with Chris's new deal). When Alex tells her there's no way out, Stella reveals that Brody Bro Hartman would be a nice alternative.
Alex visits Brody during his stand-up comedy performance. After a bit of friendly jabs at each other, they get down to the real conversation. Alex asks him to cover 024, but Brody has certain demands; he wants to host the UBN presidential debates. Alex and Brody continue their flirtatious tug-of-war over the Olympics broadcast. Brody's refusal to cave to the network, pulling out at the last minute, feels like a moral win in a sea of power, greed, and corruption.
Meanwhile, Bradley and Chip chase threads of the Wolf River scandal. It's slow progress, but the tension deepens when Cory starts digging on his own. A photograph of his mother with Fred Micklen sends him down a dangerous path, one that leads straight to Celine. Yes, it was Celine who was pulling the strings behind the scenes for all these years. Meanwhile, Cory also finds out that his mother might have been looking for an assisted suicide program in Zurich. In the end, Cory confronts Celine when he learns about how Celine gave $4.8 million to Fred to bury the story of a toxic chemical factory. But Celine continues to draw the strings as she firmly asks Cory to think about his future. In the end, we also see Bradley digging deeper into the Wolf River Story as she tries to contact a new source, Sophia Volk, a quality control manager.
'If Then' of The Morning Show Season 4 doesn't push UBN into a scandal; it reshapes the entire hierarchy. With Stella gone and Celine in charge, the battlefield looks different. Alliances will shift. Secrets will surface. And as the Wolf River investigation inches toward revelation, one thing becomes clear: there's always another glossy layer beneath the gloss.
