The third award for the night went to the very talented Katherine LaNasa for the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series. Katherine LaNasa perfectly captured the essence of Dana Evans’ character. Her past as a cancer survivor gave her the extra encouragement in making Dana’s character such a realistic one.

Through her performance, she wanted to honor the nurses. Though Katherine LaNasa is a talented actor and her performance as Dana truly was remarkable, it was a welcome surprise for the fans to see her win. Her win is a depiction of how the show honored every member of the medical team.
The Pitt also won two other Emmy awards at the Creative Arts Emmys on September 6. One for Outstanding Guest Actor in a drama series won by Shawn Hatosy, and the other one for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series. Hence, the series got a total of five Emmys. This Emmy victory truly solidifies the show’s position as a powerful medical drama.
