The Resurrected is an upcoming Taiwanese crime thriller, headlined by international stars Shu Qi (Millennium Mambo) and Sinje Lee (The Eye). This nine-episode series is set to premiere on October 9, 2025, on Netflix.

The show follows two mothers trying to get back at the man who scammed and kidnapped their daughters. It leads them on a complicated path that tests their patience, as they exact revenge against someone who deserves a worse fate than what he received. Through their story, the show explores themes of loss and justice, among other things.

The show, produced by Bernard T. K. Yang and Emma Duan, premiered at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in its 'On Screen' section on September 19, 2025.

Besides this show, Netflix will also release two other shows on October 9. According to What's on Netflix, viewers will be able to watch a limited docu-series, Victoria Beckham, and a Netflix Original coming-of-age series, Boots.

The former project is about the popular Spice Girl, designer, and partner of former footballer David Beckham, while the latter offers a fictionalized version of a real-life person's account from a memoir, dubbed The Pink Marine.

The show is directed by Leste Chen and Chao-jen Hsu, with a screenplay written by Shen Yang, Yi Shuai-jie, and Luo Hsiao-rui. According to Netflix's Tudum, here's the show's plot synopsis:

"Set in the fictional city of Benkha, The Resurrected centers on two mothers united by hatred, seeking revenge for their daughters caught in a fraud and kidnapping case. With help from a mysterious goddess, they revive the deceased ringleader of the fraud scheme to punish him."

It further sheds light on more details from the plot:

"Yet, despite inflicting relentless pain, their fury remains unquenched. As dark secrets unravel, their alliance is tested, forcing them to confront the limits of justice and their own morality."
