After much anticipation, The Runarounds has premiered on Prime Video. The show revolves around a group of recent high school graduates with a shared passion for music who decide to form a band.

However, they realize that chasing their dreams is not as easy as they thought. Since the show is a teen drama, some viewers are wondering whether they can watch it with their kids and families.

In the age of streaming, there are multiple teen dramas that have nudity and mature themes, and should not be watched by kids; hence, it is a genuine concern. However, The Runarounds is not intended only for a mature audience, as it has a TV-14 rating.

The Runarounds has been rated TV-14, which means it can be watched by anyone over 14 years of age. However, it is not intended for younger kids, and those below 14 can only watch the show under parental guidance.

The reason behind the TV-14 rating is the series features strong language with some curse words. There are also some jokes and comments about s*x, along with scenes of underage drinking, drug use, and reckless behavior. Sometimes characters get into fights, and there are moments that show injuries.

While these scenes make the show feel real, they may not be fit for children under 14. At the same time, the series also has some intense themes as some characters deal with issues like alcoholism and emotional abuse. While older teens may connect with these subjects, they may be too much to handle for younger kids.

Hence, The Runarounds may be too mature for kids under the age of 14. If parents allow them to watch the show, it is better to do it together and talk about what is happening on the screen. On the other hand, teens above the age of 14 can certainly watch the show and enjoy it without any major concerns.
