While portraying Donald Trump, he called himself Donald "Jesus" Trump and talked about the economy and the recent markets, including the tariffs. He referred to himself as everyone's favorite president on SNL and stated:

"Now everything is back exactly how it was, minus a few trillion dollars, and historic transfer of wealth from the middle class to my buddies. Oh, well, it's true. The stock market did a Jesus. It died, then on the third day it was risen, and then on the fourth day it died again, possibly never to return just like Jesus. Where the heck is that guy? Come back, get me out of this."

Saturday Night Live Season 50, Episode 18's Trump Easter 2025 Cold Open, featuring Jesus Christ portrayed by Mikey Dey. Seeing the merchants in the temple, Jesus wanted to do a "cleanse," and for that, he announced:

"This should be a house of prayer. These merchants and money-changers have turned it into a din of thieves."

He added that he wouldn't "stand" and would be getting rid of all the money. As he said that, James Auston Johnson, as Donald Trump, entered the stage:

"Remind you of anyone? Wow. I also got rid of money last week, but instead of one temple, I did hold country, maybe even the globe. The money's gone high. It's me, your favorite president, Donald "Jesus" Trump, comparing myself to the Son of God, once again, many people are even calling me the messiah because of the mess-I-ah made out of the economy, all because of my beautiful tariffs."

He then recalled that the Prime Minister of Canada called him with "tears in his eyes." He warned Trump about tariffs and told him he would "up" the global economy and tank the stocks and bond markets.

"I said, let me cook, and then I burned dinner badly, so we had to stop," responded Donald Trump.

Further on SNL, he stated that since his tariffs have been in effect, everything has returned to "exactly" how it was, minus a "few trillion dollars." James Austin Johnson, aka Trump, stated that everyone has been remembering "Jesus Christ" a lot lately, as everyone says that "a lot."

Referring to the 401k, he asked where it all went. Answering his question, he said he didn't know whether they would fix it. He also discussed Easter, Easter Eggs, and celebration.
