Amazon Prime Video's latest action thriller, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt, premiered on August 27, 2025. As the title suggests, this is the prequel of Prime Video's hit show The Terminal List (2022). Created by the duo David and Car DiGilio, the series delves into the journey of Ben Edwards from a US Navy SEAL to the CIA. War is not just about glory or wins but also about the cost of those victories. The series showcases the ugly side of warfare: tragedy, loss of lives, and exhaustion.
The series is based on Jack Carr's 2018 novel, titled The Terminal List. Following the three-episode premiere, subsequent episodes will be released every Wednesday until the season finale. The season finale will drop on September 24, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video.
Since this is a prequel to The Terminal List, there will be a bunch of returning faces and some fresh faces as well.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf cast and character guide
Taylor Kitsch plays Ben Edwards
Kitsch reprises his role as Ben Edwards, a dedicated U.S Navy SEAL and a member of the Charlie Platoon. However, his life takes a turn when he's transferred from his position in the US Navy to the CIA. Kitsch captures the complexity of the character perfectly, hero in one breath, traitor in the next. Fans who recall Ben's end in The Terminal List now can see and understand his tragic origin story.
You may know him as Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights or as Remy LeBeau from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Some of his recent notable projects include America Primeval, Painkiller, Koz, The Terminal List, and Shadowplay.
Chris Pratt plays James Reece
Pratt reprises his role as Lieutenant Commander James Reece. Here, he's Ben's closest confidant, the brother who still trusts him. Their dynamic is richly bonded through war but destined to fracture in the future.
Chris Pratt needs no introduction. You may know him for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, Parks and Recreation, and Jurassic World, to name a few. Apart from The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, Pratt's upcoming projects include Way of the Warrior Kid, Mercy, and Cowboy Ninja Viking.
Tom Hooper as Raife Hastings
Hooper plays the role of Raife Hastings, a loyal and dedicated U.S Navy SEAL and Reece's friend in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. He's Ben's compass, trying to pull him back from the edge. Raife is a kind of friend who will stand by you until the last possible moment.
You may know him as Billy Bones in Black Sails or as Luther Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy. Some of his recent projects include Space Cadet, Place of Bones, and Love in the Villa, to name a few.
Other cast members include:
- Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq: Dar Salim plays Mohammed Farooq, an Iraqi Special Operations officer who partners with the SEALs. You might recognize Dar Salim for his works in The Gentleman, Sons, Agent, The Covenant, or Boys.
- Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry: Hemsworth plays Jules Landry, an arrogant and unpredictable CIA contractor in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
