Tension keeps building in Ben Edwards’ journey as Prime Video’s prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, moves into its fourth chapter. After premiering with three episodes in August, the show will now roll out weekly, with episode 4 all set to drop on September 3, 2025. Streaming on Prime Video, the show will bring back the series’ blend of gritty action and moral ambiguity, diving deeper into the CIA entanglements that reshape Edwards’ path.

Although the timing of the release isn't confirmed yet, the first three episodes dropped at 3:00 am ET on a Wednesday, so we can assume further releases to follow the same pattern.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf has been one of the most anticipated releases on the platform ever since its announcement in February 2023, considering the success of The Terminal List. Jack Carr, whose novel was the inspiration behind the show, insisted on moving forward with a story for Ben Edwards, one of the central characters of the thriller series. Thus was The Terminal List: Dark Wolf born, bringing Edwards back with a backstory and the limelight he deserves.

At the center is Taylor Kitsch as Chief Special Warfare Operator Ben Edwards, a former US Navy SEAL who transitions into the shadowy world of the CIA’s Ground Branch. Edwards’ journey is rooted in his past as both a teammate and BUD/S classmate of James Reece, played once again by Chris Pratt.

Reece, a battle-hardened lieutenant commander, has eight combat deployments to his name and leads Alpha Platoon, SEAL Team 7, as well as Task Force Odin’s Sword.

Robert Wisdom steps in as Jed Haverford, a seasoned CIA spymaster, while Rona-Lee Shimon’s Eliza Perash, a Mossad veteran entangled romantically with Edwards, and Shiraz Tzarfati’s Tal Varon, a Mossad operator, expand the show’s international scope.

The supporting cast includes Jared Shaw as Ernest “Boozer” Vickers, Luke Hemsworth as CIA contractor Jules Landry, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq of the Iraqi Special Operations Forces, Rona-Lee Shimon as Mossad veteran Eliza Perash, Robert Wisdom as CIA spymaster Jed Haverford, and Shiraz Tzarfati as Mossad operator Tal Varon.

What happened in the season premiere of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf?

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf throws you headfirst into fire with its first three episodes. The premiere kicks off with a prisoner exchange gone brutally wrong, leaving translator Daran maimed and haunted. Months later, he’s forced into an unthinkable choice: detonate his own base or lose his children. The blast kills seven and sets off a chain of events that can’t be undone. And then comes our protagonist.

When Ben Edwards uncovers that Daran’s family is being used as pawns, he pulls James Reece and Raife Hastings into a shadow war, where the enemy isn’t always clear. Their mission spirals into rage and betrayal, culminating in Ben executing Al-Jaburi, who turns out to be a CIA asset, right after finding Daran’s children. With blood on their hands and a cover story barely holding, the team knows one thing: this fight is far from over.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is now streaming on Prime Video.
