Adam Levine might be back in the big red chair for season 27 of The Voice, but he's also busy plotting something else: the return of Maroon 5. After a relatively quiet stretch following their 2023 single "Middle Ground," the band is preparing to make some serious noise again.

Appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on April 7, Levine confirmed what fans had only speculated until now — new Maroon 5 music is officially on the horizon. And that’s not all. A full album and a live tour are also in the works.

"I'm gonna confirm the rumors are true,"

Levine told Fallon.

"It’s true! The rumors are correct."

The announcement couldn’t come at a more exciting time. With The Voice well into its 27th season, fans are getting plenty of Levine on their screens — and soon, in their playlists.

Levine balances his return to The Voice with a full Maroon 5 comeback

While Adam Levine’s return to The Voice after several seasons away has fans buzzing, many assumed his TV comeback might delay new music from Maroon 5. But according to Levine, he’s been multitasking. Big time.

"I cannot divulge all the details, but the details are, basically, roughly, there's a song coming, a single coming at the end of the month-ish,"

he explained to Fallon.

"I'm really excited about it. Album is coming over the summer. Non-specifically, around the summertime. And then even more non-specifically, there is a tour coming in the fall-ish."

It’s a very Adam Levine way of saying, “Get ready.”

So while he continues coaching hopefuls on The Voice, Levine’s also laying the groundwork for a Maroon 5 revival. With a new song expected to drop in late April, a summer album, and a tour slated for fall, there’s a packed schedule ahead — on and off camera.

A sneak peek into the music, minus the details

If you’re hoping for juicy specifics about the sound, title, or vibe of the upcoming single, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Levine stayed intentionally vague during his Fallon appearance, but the tone suggested big things are coming.

When Fallon teased,

“There’s rumors of a new Maroon 5 song. There’s been rumors of maybe a new album. There’s been rumors of a tour, and yet I’ve heard nothing,”

Levine simply confirmed,

“It’s true.”

And while he didn’t drop any track names or hints about the direction of the music, his excitement was obvious.

“This is exactly the non-specific things that I needed!”

Fallon joked, summing up the moment.

For now, all fans know is this: new Maroon 5 music is finally happening, and Levine is energized about it — even while keeping things hush-hush. Expect The Voice viewers to keep a close eye (and ear) on any hints that might sneak in.

Maroon 5's return lands during a busy year for Levine

Adam Levine has always worn multiple hats — singer, performer, coach, and sometimes actor — but 2025 is shaping up to be one of his busiest yet. Between mentoring talent on The Voice and promoting Maroon 5’s upcoming projects, he’s covering a lot of ground.

Levine's reappearance on The Voice was already a big headline. After leaving the show in 2019, his return in season 27 caught longtime fans by surprise. It also reunited him with Blake Shelton, his original sparring partner and close friend on the show.

While the battle rounds rage on in The Voice arena, Levine’s off-screen life is ramping up, too. The end of the month will likely bring the new single, and by summer, a full album rollout. Come fall, fans might just be lining up at venues to see Maroon 5 live again.

Levine’s schedule might be packed, but if anyone knows how to juggle music and TV, it’s him.

What’s next for Maroon 5, and how it ties into The Voice era

While Levine didn’t share a specific date for the new single, his “end of the month-ish” estimate points to a late April release — just in time for the final stages of The Voice season 27.

That timing might not be a coincidence. With so many eyes on Levine thanks to The Voice, it’s a strategic moment to drop new music. Whether or not the band performs on the show remains to be seen, but it wouldn’t be the first time The Voice served as a launchpad for new projects.

As for the album, a summer release means fans will likely be hearing more from the group soon. Expect promos, interviews, and maybe even sneak previews during upcoming The Voice episodes. The fall tour, while still vague, suggests that Maroon 5 will be hitting the road just in time for the holidays.

So far, Levine’s balancing act between coaching on The Voice and leading a full-scale music comeback seems to be working.
