Exclusive Clip from The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 7 features Negan reflecting on his mistakes

We've spent two seasons watching Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan toe the line between the good and the bad. The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 6 featured Ginny finding Negan and on the brink of killing him, but instead she passes out in his arms, because she has an infected wound from an injury that she got in Central Park.

The latest clip from The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 7 reveals Negan in a conversation with Keir Gichrist's Benjamin. Negan is sitting at Ginny's bedside, so there is a big chance that Ginny is not dead because of the infection. Negan is reflecting on his past in his conversation with Benjamin. He talks about how he feels like he has been very selfish behind his first wife Lucille's back, even while he had been taking care of her when she got cancer.

Negan also reveals that even after his tainted past, he feels very grateful that he was able to meet Annie and that they were blessed with a child, his son Joshua. However, he reflects and laments how he destroyed his relationship with Annie and Joshua because of his selfish actions.

Negan feels like he failed both his marriages because he had cheated on Lucille, but somehow managed to make amends. He also feels like he failed Annie because she was assaulted. Even though he killed the men who were responsible, including Ginny's dad, he sent her to Tennessee so that she would be safe when the New Babylon Federation came looking for him.

It appears that seeing Ginny in such a position has triggered Negan to actually reflect on his life and his actions, but her reaching him does mean that Negan will figure out some way of saving Ginny, by finding the medicine which will clear up her infection. Ginny might hate Negan for her father's death, but Negan protects the people he cares about, and that extends to Ginny as well, so he is willing to try and save her despite her anger.

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 7 premieres on Sunday, June 15, on AMC.
