Get ready for a final pond jump as Hallmark's beloved time travel drama series The Way Home will conclude after its fourth season. The Landry women are gearing up for their final adventure across time in Season 4, scheduled to arrive in Spring 2026 (unlike previous seasons that aired in January).

Created by Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke and Marly Reed, the fantasy drama series first aired on Hallmark in January 2023. Starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams and Sadie Laflamme-Snow in the lead roles, The Way Home follows three generations of spirited and independent Landry women in their town of Port Haven, whose lives are magically entwined through time travel. A mysterious pond acts as their magical portal, helping them to make many time-traveling trips.

The Way Home Season 4 was confirmed back in March with production expected to wrap up later this month.

More on this in our story.

Hallmark's The Way Home to conclude with Season 4

In an interview with People Magazine, Samantha DiPippo, SVP of programming at Hallmark Media, announced the show's conclusion with Season 4 as:

“Fans of The Way Home have enthusiastically watched and rewatched every episode since the first pond jump of season 1 as they’ve tried to piece together the brilliant puzzle Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke and Marly Reed expertly crafted. We’re grateful to our talented cast led by Andie, Chyler, Evan and Sadie, as well as our amazing writers and crew who have worked so hard on this show.”

While the Landry women will bid their fans a tearful goodbye, the final season will conclude all the loose threads. DiPippo added:

“Season 4 will feature the thrilling twists and turns fans expect and, as the Landry family’s journey comes to a satisfying close, viewers will get the answers they’ve waited for.''

What happened in The Way Home Season 3?

Season 3 was another thrilling ride that concluded with more questions than answers for the final season. The highlight from the third season was Del's first time-traveling trip through the pond, which landed her in the 1970s, on her wedding day to Colton. After spending a whole season hearing about her life from others, she wanted to test if her memories were at all real, which is why she took the plunge. The third season gave her a redemption moment where she was content to see her happy moments with Colton.

Del's time-traveling plunge directly led to an honest heart-to-heart conversation between Alice and adult Colton, which will have lasting consequences in the final season. Additionally, the Landrys also learnt that Sussanna had left Lingermore to them, which also seemed like another major plot point for the upcoming season.

While Season 3 saw many confrontations and resolutions, it ended on a classic cliffhanger, which set up an exciting final season for The Way Home. The final moments of Season 3 saw a mysterious couple in the 1970s jumping into the pond and Sam mirroring Elliot's actions from the Pilot episode. Amidst Jacob's second disappearance and this mysterious couple, the final season will likely bring answers, concluding the entangled Landry family saga on a satisfying note.
