1000-lb Sisters Season 7 Episode 5 featured Tammy's mom, Darlene, meeting Andrea for the first time. Before their meeting, both Tammy and her girlfriend Andrea were nervous. Tammy worried that her mom might embarrass her too much in front of Andrea.

"I think Tammy was afraid for me to meet Andrea, but I don't really care about women on women and men on men deals. So I figured it out on my own that it was her girlfriend in the way she spoke about her. If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I'll be happy with her," confessed Darlene.

Previously, Tammy confessed to the cameras that she was worried about mentioning or introducing her new girlfriend Andrea to her family. However, later, when she revealed that she was dating a female with her siblings, they were supportive.
1000-lb Sisters' episode 5 featured Tammy taking her girlfriend Andrea to meet her mom, Darlene. Despite her concerns and what her mom might think, Tammy went ahead with the meeting. However, during the meeting, Tammy introduced Andrea as her friend, and not as her girlfriend.
After talking with Andrea, Tammy's mom realized that she was her daughter's girlfriend. When Darlene asked how Tammy and Andrea met, Tammy said:
"Online dating."
Listening to Tammy, the way she spoke about Andrea, and how they had been talking nonstop, Darlene realized. She shared with the cameras that she thought Tammy was "afraid" for her to meet Andrea, but she didn't care about that.
Darlene confessed that she figured it out on her own and that if Andrea genuinely cared for Tammy and made her happy, then she would be happy for Tammy.
Tammy's girlfriend Andrea had been wanting to meet Darlene for some time. Soon, Tammy asked if Andrea had passed the test.
"Yeah, she's going past the test. Obviously, if she keep you happy," said Darlene.
She added that it takes two to "work together," which Andrea also agreed with. Listening to Darlene, Andrea said that she and Tammy always "work well" together. They all enjoyed chicken and their drinks while they talked about various things.
After their meeting, Tammy confessed to the cameras:
"Mom was actually pretty cool today. I mean she didn't embarrass me too bad."
When the producer asked Tammy about introducing Andrea to her siblings, she said she didn't know. The 1000-lb Sisters star mentioned how her family is "so skeptical" of other people. But she also said, "Let's see what the future holds."
