According to an exclusive report by Deadline, two stars have officially booked their stay in The White Lotus Season 4. The upcoming chapter of White's anthology dark comedy series on HBO has cast AJ Michalka and Alexander Ludwig in important roles. The Goldbergs actress and the Vikings star are the first two actors to be confirmed for the France-set season of White's Emmy-winning series.

Earlier this month, Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content, confirmed The White Lotus Season 4 would likely begin production in Spring 2026. While Michalka and Ludwig are the first two confirmed stars, Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter has also been in early talks for a starring role, reportedly. However, fans will have to wait for confirmation.

While White and HBO are keeping the plot and character details under wraps for now, the upcoming season of The White Lotus will follow in the footsteps of the previous seasons. A new set of elite and wealthy guests will check into the titular hotel for a chaotic week, filled with murder and mayhem.

The White Lotus Season 4: AJ Michalka and Alexander Ludwig set to check into the upcoming season

American actress and singer AJ Michalka is best known for playing Lainey Lewis in Adam F. Goldberg's 2013 ABC sitcom The Goldbergs, a role she also reprised in its 2018 spin-off series Schooled. The actor's other starring roles include Chloe in All My Friends Are Getting Married and Bonnie in Oliver Beene. Michalka also voiced Catra in Netflix's animated superhero series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and participated in the twelfth season of The Masked Singer, the popular singing reality TV series.

The White Lotus Season 4's second star, Alexander Ludwig, is best known for playing Björn Ironside, Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) son, in the 2018 historical drama series Vikings. Ludwig's additional starring roles include Dr. Delucchi in Swerve, Ace Spade in Starz's drama series Heels, alongside Stephen Amell and Isherwood "Ish" Williams in MGM+'s Earth Abides.

Since Four Season Resorts have been used as stand-ins for the fictional titular hotel chains in the previous seasons of The White Lotus, fans are speculating on the location for the upcoming entry. The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat and Paris’ Hotel George V are the two likely options for the France-set The White Lotus Season 4. The previous chapters were set in Hawaii, Italy and Thailand, respectively.

Across three seasons of The White Lotus, the show has been nominated for 66 Emmy Awards with 16 wins. The Thailand-set Season 3 bagged 23 Emmy nominations and featured a roster of A-list actors, namely Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Aimee Lou Wood, Sam Nivola, Jason Issacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Parker Posey.

Now that The White Lotus Season 4 has started its casting process, we might get more information about the upcoming chapter soon.
