Fans are eagerly waiting for The White Lotus Season 4 to arrive on HBO so that they can enjoy another story packed with dark humor, mysteries, and never-ending drama among the characters. Another reason why many are excited is that the creator, Mike White had previously shared some hints.
White mentioned that he wants Season 4 to look and feel different from the first three seasons and said:
"For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the ‘crashing waves against rocks’ vernacular."
And now, Variety has recently reported that filming of The White Lotus Season 4 is expected to begin in France. Especially in Paris and the French Riviera. Though HBO hasn't shared any update on this, the outlet claims that the production team is already looking for "luxury hotels" and shooting spots.
Even though the setting might change in the next chapter, fans can expect a new group of rich travelers and hotel staff whose vacations soon turn chaotic and humorous. Just as White said, "there’s always room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels."
The White Lotus Season 4 filming to take place in France
After bidding farewell to the Thai hotel in Season 3, get ready to meet a whole new set of travelers at a different luxurious hotel (most likely in France). As explained before, reports suggest that The White Lotus Season 4 production will kick off in France in cities like Paris and the French Riviera.
Since the team hasn't booked a hotel yet, filming will begin in 2026 as it's still in the planning stage. Additionally, this season brings a big change for the show.
HBO has decided to end its partnership with the Four Seasons hotel chain, which had been used for filming in the first three seasons. Since that deal is over now, The White Lotus Season 4 will take place in different luxury hotels, not at any Four Seasons property.
Per Variety, the production team has visited two major contenders:
Le Lutetia: The historical hotel built in 1910 and now managed by the Mandarin Oriental group, located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area.
Ritz Paris: A legendary five-star establishment in Paris, known for its elegance and long list of celebrity guests.
Additionally, if filming takes place in the French Riviera, it will allow the production team to capture the rocky beaches and glamorous vibe. This means that a new spot will give a fresh visual change from the tropical settings of the previous three chpaters of the HBO TV series.

What else do we know about The White Lotus Season 4?
Apart from the filming spots, many fans might wonder about the cast. Since the show is an anthology series, each chapter brings new faces. However, some characters have returned before. But as of now, no actors have been officially confirmed for Season 4.
Two returning possibilities are Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Belinda in Season 1, and Jon Gries, who played Greg, a recurring character linked to Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya in earlier seasons. Both have appeared in multiple seasons and could come back again.
Not only this, Patrick Schwarzenegger said in an interview that he heard rumors of Season 4 being an "all season", to which Mike White replied, "I'd love to do that", which suggests that he's looking forward to bringing another set of actors who might surprise fans.
