The White Lotus is all about complicated guests in stunning locations. The show gives us this creeping sense that something beautiful always has something awful just around the corner. But The White Lotus also has heart and we get it in the form of Belinda in the midst of all those strange occurrences.
Belinda is the woman who once massaged Tanya’s aching back and got her hopes up about starting a wellness center. She was a working woman who got used and dismissed. She got left behind by a rich guest who tossed her aside the moment the fantasy wore off. She deserved better and it finally looks like she might be getting it.
Season 3 ends on an unexpected note. Belinda and her son sail away from Thailand’s White Lotus property with $5 million in their pockets. And that huge sum of money came from a man who may or may not have been involved in his wife’s murder (banking on the former possibility). The money is as messy as the morals in The White Lotus.
And yet I couldn’t help but root for her. Because for once Belinda wasn’t left behind. But the way it ended didn’t feel like a resolution. It felt like a beginning. And if there's one storyline I want to see continued in Season 4, it's hers.

The White Lotus: The one storyline that deserves a comeback in Season 4
Belinda’s arc in The White Lotus has been such an underdog arc. We first met her in Season 1 working tirelessly at the Hawaiian resort while being emotionally strung along by Tanya. She didn’t get justice back then. But in Season 3, she got something. And it came in the form of $5 million and a man who cared for her though she parts ways with him.
But the source of her satisfaction doesn't come from a clean medium. It came from a deal with a man who may or may not have been involved in his own wife’s mysterious death. So now Belinda and her son are out there somewhere with that money and a possible criminal connection. And we need to know what happens next.
Will someone come looking for them? Could Greg be keeping tabs on them? Would there be more trouble? These aren’t open questions in The White Lotus. They're plot threads that feel far too interesting to totally forget.
What’s also powerful about this is what it means emotionally. Belinda is finally in a position of power. She is no longer massaging someone else's back or chanting Om Bhur Bhuvah Svaha to soothe someone's anxious mind. But considering that she is in The White Lotus, it is not entirely impossible for the power to come at a price and her life to turn 180 degrees. The money could be her escape or it could be a new trap in disguise.
And honestly, representation matters. Seeing a Black woman take charge of not just her circumstances but of the narrative itself, felt like something The White Lotus needed. I want to see Belinda not just escape the system but win in it. For once.
So, while we all wait to see which guests pop up in Season 4, I’m holding out hope for one thing. And that's Belinda’s return.
