The Wild Ones, a six-part nature documentary series that will debut globally on July 11, 2025, is being prepared for release via Apple TV+. This series offers a new approach to environmental storytelling by fusing conservation efforts on the front lines with stunning photography. It's a striking exploration of some of the most isolated environments on Earth and the threatened animals that call them home.

Aldo Kane, a former Royal Marines Commando, leads the mission with bravery and drive, Declan Burley, a wildlife camera technology specialist, and Vianet Djenguet, a filmmaker recognized for capturing animals' emotional and ecological tales, will join him. This crew goes to six nations — Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada, and Gabon — to film mysterious species that are rarely seen by the public.

The Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale, Western lowland gorilla, and Caucasian leopard are among the creatures that are highlighted. Filming these creatures in their native environments is infamously challenging, and the unique group uses more than 350 specially designed cameras, thermal drones, AI-driven images, and underwater sensors to tackle this problem. This cutting-edge technology gives viewers a glimpse into the secret life of these animals by capturing personal and frequently unseen moments.

The Wild Ones, produced by Offspring Films, which also created Apple TV+'s Earth At Night In Color and Earthsounds, mixes dramatic imagery with significant conservation. The Wild Ones crew not only monitors but also actively participates in attempts to conserve these species. Their responsibilities include tracking rhinos, defending tiger cubs, conducting anti-poaching operations, and even participating in a live whale rescue.

This series is part of Apple TV+'s larger mission of offering original, high-quality television. Since its launch in November 2019, Apple TV+ has grown into a global streaming service available on over a billion screens, including Macs, iPhones, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. Apple TV+ is gaining a reputation for inspiring and educating people as its selection of highly respected television shows and documentaries grows.
