Henry Cavill's departure from The Witcher Season 4 and Liam Hemsworth's casting as the new Geralt of Rivia have led to whispers among fans of the show.

It was earlier revealed that the Netflix fantasy drama was filming the fourth and fifth seasons back-to-back. So, fans can expect the final season sooner rather than later. Liam Hemsworth's first official appearance as Geralt of Rivia and The Witcher's penultimate season are set to premiere on October 31 on Netflix.

As fans of the epic drama prepare themselves for the new season and the big changes, here's a look at some of the new castings in the final season, for which production is underway.

It was previously reported by Redanian Intelligence that the Battle of Brenna might just be included in the final season of The Witcher. Emily-Jo Young's casting as Shani, paired with the castings of Temerian soldiers and the Vrihedd brigade soldier, led to a partial confirmation that this particular battle might be a significant part of the final season. This new casting only adds fuel to the Battle of Brenna fire.

First and foremost, the latest update confirms the adaptation of Menno Coehoorn from the source material. In Andrzej Sapkowski's books, Menno Coehoorn was a Nilfgaardian field marshal and in a position of confidence with Emperor Emhyr var Emreis. He also plays an extremely significant role in the Battle of Brenna.

According to new reports, Menno Coehoorn's character has been adapted into a female version, named Meena Coehoorn, which will be played by Naomi Battrick.

Whether the field marshal's original contribution to the novels will be adapted to this character in The Witcher Season 5 is not clear as of now. Additionally, Chike Chan has been cast as Old Barring, and Adam Basil as Knocker.

The rest of the castings are of original characters from the Sapkowski books. First, Tatjana Inez Nardone, seen in The Winter King, has been cast as Elora. Claire Cogan from The House of Dragons has been cast as Kareena. Nadia Albina from A Thousand Blows has been cast as Peggy. Liv Andrusier from Les Misérables has been cast in a recurring role as Condwiramus Tilly, a researcher and interpreter of dreams. Taylor James as Reynart de Bois-Fresnes, and finally, Kate Dickie as Sigrdrifa.

Along with the original characters from Sapkowski's books, some are created entirely for the show. Actors such as Bobby Rainsbury, Simon Meacock, Tega Alexander, Una Byrne, Jenny Bolt, and Ben Jones have original (and undisclosed as of now) roles on the Netflix series.

As for official updates, only Liam Hemsworth's Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra's Yennefer, and Freya Allen's Ciri are confirmed to return for The Witcher's fifth and final chapter. So, the confirmation for these castings will have to hold on for official updates from Netflix.
