When you think of Reacher, you probably picture him smashing heads and throwing those one-liners. But let’s not forget, he also has some powerful female characters by his side.

Roscoe, Frances Neagley - the series has never shied away from giving us powerful female characters. This time it's Duffy. A bit of a foul mouth, she's focused and fearless.

But is Susan Duffy in Season 3, the most capable ally Reacher has ever had?

Let’s break it down.

Reacher: Strong female allies in the show

Reacher doesn’t just team up with anyone. You need to have the skills, the guts and the stomach for all the grittiness.

Roscoe is tough and stands her ground. The Margrave cop also had a chemistry like no other with Reacher.

Frances Neagley is probably the most compatible with Reacher considering their backgrounds. Well, she is a straight-up legend. All with her military background and precision skills. She is someone who knows how to handle Reacher’s intensity.

Susan Duffy is a strategist. She is also pretty determined and brave. She is possibly the only one who can keep up with Reacher’s unpredictable plans.

Each of them is unique in their ways, but Duffy, here, might be playing on another level.

What makes Susan Duffy stand out?

As soon as we are introduced to her in the beginning of Season 3, we know she's going to be one hell of a character. We knew she meant business. She has a mission and she is dead set on it.

Nothing can stop her. She’s relentless. And she is not amongst those who get intimidated by Reacher. She’s not afraid to call Reacher out when necessary.

In Episode 5, we see just how capable she is. She had just survived the chaotic shootout at the facility. And then she reaches the cabin to find Agent Eliot dead.

Though a bit tough on him, Duffy still cared about him. In Episode 2, we see her telling Villanueva that she even calls Eliot "Ponce de moron" sometimes. But underneath her tough exterior, she has a big heart. We know this from the way she desperately wants to find Teresa.

A lot has happened with her, but instead of crumbling down, she adapts. She stands right back up and makes all the tough calls that need to be made.

And let’s talk about her dynamic with Reacher. Unlike Roscoe, where there was an obvious romantic undertone, or Neagley, who operates like a trusted old friend, Duffy’s partnership with Reacher feels purely tactical. They are just two professionals working toward a common goal. And honestly, that’s refreshing.

She doesn’t trust easily. And she doesn’t just roll with whatever Reacher says. She keeps him in check. Something he needs when his bull-headed instincts take over. She’s not just some sidekick or love interest thrown in for the sake of drama. She’s got her mission, her motivations, and she’s damn good at what she does.

Bottom line is she’s steering her damn wheel.

It’s too early to say if Duffy is Reacher's best ally. But she’s definitely in the running. If she makes it out of this season alive, she might just take the crown.
