Schitt's Creek is a masterclass in a series that somehow gets even more addictive with every rewatch. This is as much a credit to the brilliant characters on the show as it is to the screenwriting. When the Rose family enters Schitt's Creek with their designer clothes and even more designer lives, they're not at all prepared for everything that town has in store for them, but they somehow make everything and more out of everything that life throws at them.

Such is the character of Alexis Rose, played by Annie Murphy, who starts out as a flaky yet charming privileged girl but goes through a beautiful evolution throughout the six seasons of Schitt's Creek and transforms into a formidable young woman.

Alexis's audition to be a part of the cabaret, where she performs the title song from her 'critically reviewed limited reality series' of the same name, has to be the most iconic tone deaf and uncomfortable audition to ever exist, but because it's Alexis performing, you sing-along and you have the time of your life.

Considering how irresponsible Alexis and David have been with their financial assets and their money, it was extremely surprising when Alexis managed to help David out in a high-pressure situation with a lawyer. It wasn't surprising that she helped David out, because however much these siblings bicker and however many times Alexis disgustingly says 'ew, David', it's clear as day that these two love each other more than anything, and will always be there for each other.

Alexis decides to finish High school and actually puts in the effort

The first time Alexis decides to take a solid step towards becoming more responsible and independent is when she decides to finish her high school degree. To everybody's surprise, she is completely dedicated to the cause. She attends classes, she makes friends with some of the young girls in classes, she is a hard-working student, and barring a few plagiarism issues, she graduates from high school. Watching her glow with happiness as Ted, Moira, and the jazz girls make it to her graduation ceremony has to be one of the most heartwarming Alexis Rose moments.

Alexis's adventurous stories

If there's one thing Alexis Rose always has, it's a story about an experience in her past which manages to perfectly fits the situation. Be it her involuntary affairs with Saudi princes or Sultan's nephews, or when she plays pool for diamond smugglers for her friend's freedom, the stories and her adventures are always super iconic.

Ted and Alexis's Relationship Growth

Alexis and Ted, despite the cutest meet-cute did not get together until a little later in the show, but oh when they do, the couple turn out to be the healthiest, and one of the greatest on the show, even if they don't end up together, or maybe they did, who knows where Alexis and Ted might have met again later in their lives (one can only hope).

Ted and Alexis's mutual breakup scene in the Schitt's Creek finale episodes was a tear-jerker to say the least. However, if the story had taken any other route than the breakup, it wouldn't have managed to encapsulate just how much Alexis has grown as a person in the last few years.

She might've started out as flaky, shallow, and privileged, but by the finale, she was a changed woman. Her commendable growth in character was clearly visible when Alexis and Rose decided to part ways, even though they love each other, so that both of them can chase their dreams.
