The 1990s sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, is regarded as one of the best comfort shows that is still popular. It follows the lives of a group of friends who are living their lives in New York and their trials and tribulations, which often generate humorous moments and sometimes also heartwarming ones.
It is also among the most rewatched shows, as fans of F.R.I.E.N.D.S love to revisit the camaraderie between the group. Whether it's because of Chandler's sarcasm, Monica’s competitiveness, Joey’s simple-mindedness and loyalty toward his friends, Phoebe’s funny weirdness, or Rachel and Ross’s complicated love story, fans go back to watch it all again and reminisce about the show. However, while it has many rewatchable moments, some episodes can easily be skipped when you are rewatching F.R.I.E.N.D.S, as it won’t affect the story or give you any FOMO.

These 7 F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes can be skipped during a rewatch
7) The One With Christmas In Tulsa (Season 9, Episode 10)

One of the best episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is when the group is all together and having fun. This mostly happens in the holiday episodes when they all celebrate together. However, this episode in season 9 of F.R.I.E.N.D.S did not have any of these happy moments, as the gang was not together.
In the episode, Chandler spends his Christmas in Tulsa, leaving his friends and the viewers devastated as they won't spend the holiday together. The episode is filled with clips of them together celebrating Christmas in the past, making the episode sadder. It is even sadder when you think that this happens to be the last holiday episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, and all six are not together. To avoid the sadness that comes with the episode, it is best if you skip it while rewatching.
6) The one with the vows (Season 7, Episode 21)

This episode is another clip show, as it shows a glimpse of Monica and Chandler’s relationship throughout F.R.I.E.N.D.S. In this episode, Monica and Chandler struggle to write their wedding vows. They both reminisce about their relationship to try to write their vows.
However, all of the clips used in the episode are just moments from the show that we have already watched. It would have been great if there were some new clips showing their relationship and its progress, letting the fans encounter some new moments of their favorite couple from Friends.
5) The one where Nana dies twice (Season 1, Episode 8)

This episode from season 1 of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one of the skippable episodes due to its content. The episode is about Chandler debating about his sexuality as everyone around him thinks he is gay, while Ross and Monica’s grandmother dies. The episode is filled with little moments that you might find funny at your first watch, but they won’t affect you during a rewatch.
Furthermore, the episode is also skippable because nothing big happens in the lives of the group other than Ross getting high on painkillers after he injures himself, and also confessing to Rachel about his feelings for her, but she doesn’t take it seriously because he is not sober.
4) The one that could have been (Season 6, Episode 15)

This episode of Season 6 of F.R.I.E.N.D.S follows the concept of "what if," where the friends think about what if their lives were different from now, such as what if Rachel had married Barry instead of fleeing, Joey was a star, and Monica hadn’t lost any weight. While there are some funny elements in the episode, the portrayal of Monica was not liked by many.
The episode showed Monica as someone who prioritizes food, as in the scene where she keeps asking about her Kit-Kats and if Phoebe broke them. Not only that, the episode also delves more into the tropes around people with weight issues, and not in a positive way. While it might be funny at first watch, it is one of the skippable episodes during a rewatch, as humor like this rarely works in this day and age.
3) The one with the fake party (Season 4, Episode 16)
In this episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Rachel carries out her quest of impressing Joshua even after he tells her that he does not want to date anyone right now. Her quest and planning even hamper Ross’s plans of spending a romantic night with Emily when Rachel throws a farewell party for her, and Emily’s attention is taken by all the other guys, leaving Ross’s plan to go to waste.
From choking on a cherry to playing spin the bottle to kiss Joshua, Rachel went to great lengths to get Joshua’s attention on her, which was way too much for her character. Hence, you can always skip the episode, as it doesn’t add too much to the story.
2) The one with the metaphorical tunnel (Season 3, Episode 4)
Ross is one of those characters from F.R.I.E.N.D.S who has found himself in complicated situations where fans debated whether to like him or not. Episode 4 of season 3 of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one of those episodes.
In the episode, Ben brings a Barbie doll to Ross's when he comes to visit him, which makes Ross a little concerned about him. Ross tries to get his attention from other toys like the dinosaur and the G.I. Joe, but nothing works. However, he is confronted about his behavior by Susan and Carol, and Monica also reveals that he used to wear women’s clothes as a child. This can easily be skipped during a rewatch, as it is one of those episodes where Ross’s actions are not funny like in other episodes.
1) The one with Ross and Monica's cousin (Season 7, Episode 19)

This is one of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes that many fans might never want to revisit. Just like many of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes, episode 19 of season 7 also has several funny moments, but the unfunny parts make it difficult to rewatch.
The episode sees the Gellars' cousin, Casie, come to attend Chandler and Monica's wedding. Chandler and Ross can’t stop looking at her, and while watching a movie, Ross even misinterprets her and tries to kiss his own cousin, making her feel uncomfortable, leading her to leave. Ross has numerous awkward moments in the comedy show, but this one might be at the top of the list.
