Oftentimes, the casts in TV shows make you think how well all the actors mold into their characters, making it their own, so that we are unable to imagine someone else playing these roles.
Whether they are playing serious roles like a detective or a businessman with a cranky mood, or a novel Queen trying to get back her birthright and rule, or a family trying to live their life through various humorous incidents or a group of people that became a family after surviving harsh scenarios in a post-apocalyptic world, these casts in TV shows give their all to make us believe what they are going through in the scenes. In this article, we have listed 9 such casts from various TV shows that appeared to be made for those roles.

9 casts from TV Shows felt like they were made for the role
9) The Wire

The Wire is one of those early HBO TV shows that were praised for their casting of actors who were not as popular as they became later. From Dominic West, who played the role of Detective Jimmy McNulty, to other cast members like Wendell Pierce, Lance Reddick, and Felicia Pearson, all perfectly fit in their characters, and we surely cannot imagine someone else playing these roles in the acclaimed crime drama.
The show explored different challenges that the city of Baltimore suffered, such as the drug lord problem depicted in the first season, and issues related to schools and education in season 4, with the characters playing an important part with their raw and realistic portrayals, making the cast one of the best.
8) This is Us

Dan Fogelman’s drama, This is Us, has been one of the TV shows coming out in the recent past that left viewers bawling with the story of the Pearson family. Rebecca Pearson’s (Mandy Moore) deep love for her children and Jack Pearson’s (Milo Ventimiglia) optimistic outlook toward life, his love for his family, but also his own struggles, were portrayed by the two actors impeccably.
Further, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley, who played the adult version of the Pearson children, brought emotional depth to the characters, as we were taken on the emotional journey of these characters finding their places in the world, making the characters their own.
7) The Walking Dead

One of the early TV shows that expanded the zombie apocalypse in a drama that not only showed the characters surviving the post-apocalyptic world but also forming new friendships and becoming a family. Although many changes were made in the TV show from the comics, it still followed the major arcs.
Several characters, such as the fan favorite Daryl Dixon, were created for the TV show and didn’t have a comic counterpart, but they still became an integral part of Rick Grimes’ family. Even the characters from the comics like Rick Grimes, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln, or Danai Gurira’s Michonne, who, with their raw emotions and authenticity, and also with the costume and props such as Michonne’s Katana, created a character that is hard to imagine played by someone else.
6) Modern Family

This multiple Emmy award-winning show cannot be remembered for just one actor or character, as the ensemble cast that portrayed a family embodied their roles perfectly. The sitcom revolves around Jay Pritchett’s (Ed O'Neill) family and the families of his two adult children, Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson).
It's hard to imagine some other actor playing the characters of this show, as Sofia Vergara’s portrayal of Gloria with that heavy Colombian accent, or Ty Burrell’s portrayal of Phil Dunphy with that goofy and over-optimistic character, appeared to be made for them.
5) The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory created a successful franchise that is expanding into more successful TV shows like Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. But it was TBBT with the characters such as Sheldon Cooper, Leonard, and Penny that started the story.
All the characters in TBBT: from Jim Parsons’s portrayal of the ingenious Sheldon Cooper, to Johnny Galecki’s nerdy and socially awkward Leonard have made the roles their own as they went through so many changes and learn many new things in the 12 season run of the show that now it is hard to imagine someone else putting themselves in the shoes of these characters that rightfully belongs to these actors now.
4) Game of Thrones

From the delicate Daenerys Targaryen in season 1 by Emilia Clarke to the buffed up warlord Khal Drogo, portrayed by Jason Momoa, the cast of Game of Thrones is another one in the list that were perfect as their characters. One cannot imagine someone other than Lena Headey playing the manipulative Cersei Lannister, or go through the emotional and heartbreaking journey of Sansa Stark in place of Sophie Turner.
Superhit TV shows like Game of Thrones become popular not only because of their storyline but also for their cast that embody those characters and make them their own.
3) Succession
It's hard to think of the rude and self-assertive Logan Roy being portrayed by someone other than Brian Cox, who prioritizes his business over his children, making them greedy for the ownership of their father’s company.
The complicated and different personalities of his children, portrayed by Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong, and Sarah Snook, brought forth the inner struggles of their characters that helped make these characters their own. The immaturity of Roman played by Culkin, or Strong’s Kendall trying hard to impress his father without reflecting on his issues that made him fail in running the business over time, might not have been possible without this set of actors, and hence they deserved their roles.
2) Breaking Bad

Imagine someone other than Bryan Cranston as Walter White? Hard to imagine, right? We have seen Bryan's Walter White go from a cancer-suffering man trying to make money to secure his family’s future without him to giving in to his greed and choosing the illegal path, hence destroying everything.
Seeing him transform from an average man to the shady character that makes and sells crystal meth makes it hard to imagine some other actor going through the journey. The cynicism that Cranston brought to the character and the subtle emotions that he later portrayed as guilt began to seep into him due to his illegal activities, making the character wholly belong to him.
1) The Boys
Whether it's Anthony Starr’s egotistical Homeland or the revengeful Hughie, played by Jack Quaid, all the cast members of the hit show perfectly fit the role they were cast in. The various personalities of the superheroes and the members of the Boys helped make this unique series a global hit.
From Karl Urban’s portrayal of the ruthless leader of the Boys, Billy Butcher, to other characters like Frenchie with a traumatic past and a good-hearted superhero, Starlight, the show embodies many different kinds of characters that help in making it a chaotic story where all the characters fit perfectly well.
