This Black Mirror Season 7 episode paid homage to Kieran Smith and here's more about the late star

The third episode of Black Mirror Season 7, titled Bête Noire, left viewers, as the series often does, but it also left a moving tribute. Just as the credits rolled, a simple message appeared:

"In Loving Memory - Kieran Smith"

Kieran Smith, who played a minor but memorable role in Black Mirror's Bête Noire, passed away shortly after filming wrapped. The news of his death came from United Agents, the talent agency that represented him. His presence in the episode was brief but significant, and the tribute confirmed that his contribution had not gone unnoticed.

The Black Mirror episode follows Bête Noire, Maria, a well-known food scientist who lives a good life. One day, she meets Verity, someone she bullied years ago in school. Verity starts working at Maria’s company and slowly begins to change things around her. Maria starts to feel confused and unsure of what is real. Strange things happen, and Maria believes Verity is behind it all. She thinks Verity wants revenge for the past.

Maria finds out that Verity is using a special necklace to change time and events. It lets her play with reality. In the end, Maria kills Verity and takes the necklace for herself. She uses it to make a new life where she has all the power and control. This Black Mirror episode shows how people’s past actions can come back to hurt them and how the desire for power can lead to dangerous choices.
