On this week’s Survivor 48, the jungle chessboard is down to its final pieces, and Kamilla's ready to make her move. With just six castaways left and the finale looming, she is not playing coy anymore. In an exclusive sneak peek at Wednesday’s episode, Kamilla pulls aside her long-running secret ally, Kyle, and spells it out: "Joe has to go."

"We're at the end, this is our final shot. We have to take it now," she tells him, with the intensity of someone who’s just won immunity and isn’t wasting a second of that safety.

Joe, of course, has been the golden boy of the season — challenge beast, strategic thinker, jury charmer. Kamilla knows if they wait any longer, they will be handing him the million-dollar check. But here’s the twist: Kyle is part of the “Strong Four” alliance that’s been calling the shots lately. So will he stick with the predictable path or flip the game with Kamilla in the penultimate episode?

Either way, Survivor 48 is heading into tribal council with fireworks primed and torches ready.

Survivor 48’s hidden alliance and their dilemma

Kyle finds himself at a crossroads after telling Kamilla that fellow contestant Shauhin seems eager to shake up the game. This information energizes Kamilla, who has been targeting Joe for elimination for some time:

"Now is the time to actually start playing Survivor and not just let Joe and Eva decide who's going home," she tells Kyle in the preview clip.

This conversation follows last week's missed opportunity, where spunky Mary attempted to orchestrate Joe's elimination. Despite Joe being vulnerable without immunity, Kyle and Shauhin weren't willing to trust Mary's plan, resulting in her departure instead.

The decision facing Kyle carries significant ramifications for everyone's endgame. His gameplay has remained relatively quiet since orchestrating Thomas's earlier elimination, leaving him potentially vulnerable against opponents with stronger resumes.

Joe continues to dominate Survivor 48's physical challenges while Eva possesses an impressive strategic record, having held advantages throughout the season. For Kyle and Shauhin, allowing this powerful duo to remain intact could spell disaster for their own winning chances.

Kamilla recognizes this reality clearly, having secured her temporary safety on Survivor 48 with an immunity win. Her urgency stems from understanding that opportunities to eliminate major threats dwindle with each passing tribal council.

The final chance before the finale

With the three-hour season finale scheduled for May 21, the contestants face their last chances to position themselves advantageously. The decision to target Joe now could reshape the entire endgame.

The final six on Survivor 48 currently consists of Kyle, Joe, Eva, Shauhin, Mitch, and Kamilla, with Mitch and Kamilla ostensibly on the outside of the dominant alliance.

Will Kyle finally make the big move necessary to build his case for victory? Or will Joe continue his path of dominance toward the final tribal council? Kamilla has made her position clear— the moment for action has arrived, and hesitation could cost them everything.

Survivor 48 airs Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.
