This is why I am hyped for the White Tiger returning in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set to feature the return of the White Tiger. "How is this possible?", you might wonder, considering the character's death in the closing minutes of the third episode of the first season, The Hollow of His Hand. Well, the answer lies in the rest of Born Again Season 1, where the makers hint that Hector Ayala/White Tiger's niece might take up his superhero mantle.

Now, leaked set images of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 seem to suggest that actress Camila Rodriguez, who played Angela in the first season, is reprising her role in the second season. They also hint that this season will deliver on what was set up in the first season.

Camila Rodriguez's Angela suits up as the White Tiger in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 leaked set image

The leaked image from the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 features the young actress Camila Rodriguez returning as Angela Del Toro. The suit she is wearing is homemade, unlike the Season 1 suit. However, the one thing different about this new suit is that Angela is not wearing the mystical amulet Hector wore as the White Tiger.

However, if the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 follows the comics, Angela will inherit her uncle's mystical White Tiger amulet soon. Until then, she could be a vigilante who relies on martial arts like Matt does as his vigilante persona.

Angela may get the amulet in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 or 3

We meet Angela for the first time in the third episode of Born Again Season 1 as Hector Ayala (who is the vigilante White Tiger) is on trial, accused of murdering a police officer. At that moment, the court isn't aware of Hector's secret until Matt, who is his lawyer, outs him as the White Tiger to save him. This strategy works, and Hector is declared not guilty.

However, the same night, Hector, in his White Tiger outfit and the mystical amulet, is patrolling the street as someone wearing the Punisher skull (revealed to be the police officer Cole North) fatally shoots Hector. The opening scene of the very next episode is set in a forensic lab, where Matt is told about what the analysts could ascertain in the post-mortem.

Angela visits the lab in hopes to see her uncle's body, but Matt keeps her from doing so and advises her that she should mourn Hector the way she remembers him. But Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who directed the episode, revealed an alternate version of this moment at the forensic lab. He revealed that during his March 19, 2025, appearance on the Phase Hero: A Film & TV Podcast. Nachmanoff said:

"I remember shooting that little sequence with the amulet. As a director I did a few different versions then you send it off to the editorial. I can't remember what in the final version which way we did it. But I did one where it lights up in the bag, one where it stays dark. We did it as like the idea was that it was when the young girl comes, it senses her so it like started illuminating."

Therefore, people working on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 might take Jeffrey Nachmanoff's idea and reuse it to tell Angela's origin story as the White Tiger.
