The audience finally bid farewell to Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley), who now spends his remaining days behind the bar reading love letters from ardent fans. Netflix’s You aired its final season recently and gave a closure to the many characters on the show. However, there is one subject that the show left untouched. How did Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) get rid of Delilah Alves (Carmela Zumbado) and Candace Stone’s (played by Ambyr Childers) bodies in You Season 2?

You follows the story of the serial killer Joe and his many romantic conquest, as he becomes obsessed trying to find the one. In Season 2, we meet Love, who we would come to discover is as dangerous as Joe. She and Joe develop a deep relationship. Just like Joe, Love would take extreme measures to tackle the challenges in her relationship. Their obsession drives them, and at the same time results in the demise of their relationship.

Why does Love Quinn kill Delilah and Candace in You Season 2?

Joe wants to get a fresh start in Season 2 but when his ex-girlfriend, Candace, comes back to destroy his life, he moves to Los Angeles. What did Joe do to her? He kidnapped her and buried her alive. Of course, her anger is justified.

Joe meets Love at his workplace and, as expected, gets obsessed with her. Meanwhile he doubts that Candace has been stalking him and, true to Joe’s paranoia, Candance does follow him to LA and meets Love and her brother. Joe hides the truth about Candace to Love and meanwhile also gets acquainted with his neighbor Delilah.

Love catches Candace trying to break into Joe’s apartment. She tells him about her history with Joe. But the true manipulator that Joe is, manages to twist the story and tell Love that Candace is delusional. Love and Joe break-up briefly and he has a short-lived affair with Delilah. She learns about his possible involvement in a murder and decides to go snooping. She ends up finding his dreaded glass cage.

Joe traps Delilah in the cage and tries to work out a deal with her. After a few mishaps, he returns to his storage unit only to find Deliah murdered. He initially doubts that he did it himself while under the influence of LSD.

Candace manages to trap Joe in his cage with Delilah’s decomposing body and calls Love to show what he did to Delilah. Joe accepts all terrible things he has done.

As the audience wait for Love to call the police, she shocks everyone by stabbing Candace in her neck. We learn that Love has had a murderous streak all along, and it turns out that she was the one who lured Joe to her. She accepts that she murdered Deliah as well to protect Joe.

What happened to Candace and Delilah’s bodies?

Last, we see Delilah’s body still inside the cage. Love does take Candace’s body, along with her heart glasses, in the trunk of her car. We assume that she has somehow disposed their bodies. Probably in some wooded area near by.

In Season 3 Episode 2, after Love kills their neighbor, Joe asks her about what she did with Candace and Delilah’s bodies. He questions her in an heated argument:

“Let’s talk about how we handled that situation. What did you do with her (Candace) body? Or Delilah’s, for that matter. Because you still have never shared.”

To which Love replies:

“I told you, I took care of it.”

Joe pushes her:

“And I am asking you how you took care of it?”

Love replies:

“It’s safer if I you didn’t know. Okay?”

The way she would handle the neighbor’s body one thing is clear, Love is not capable of doing the job herself. It would seem as if she had some help from someone else, probably her family, and she was keeping the location a secret in case Joe decides to act out against her.

While Season 5 reflected on many of the past You characters, it did not bring up the subject, leaving a permanent cliffhanger.
