As Tulsa King Season 3 came to an end on November 23, 2025, so did Jeremiah Dunmire's life. He died in a brutal way, as Dwight Manfredi tied him up and burned him. It was also an interesting nod to what Dwight had told Jeremiah when they first met,

“Imagine you burn your finger. Imagine how that hurts. Now imagine what it feels like to burn your whole body.”

Robert Patrick, who played Jeremiah in Tulsa King Season 3, however, doesn't mind the way his character died and even thinks it's one of the best ways to exit a show.

Robert Patrick on his character's death in Tulsa King Season 3 finale

Jeremiah Dunmire has been Dwight's rival in Tulsa King Season 3, which gave Dwight plenty of reason to kill him earlier. But he didn't. Jeremiah dug his own grave when he kidnapped Joanne Manfredi, Dwight's sister, and dared to make a ransom call. Dwight, his team, and Russell Lee Washington Jr. were ready to face Jeremiah, and his son Cole became their secret weapon at the end.

Cole, finally frustrated by his father's criminal activities and his treatment of him, betrayed him by telling Dwight where Joanne was kept. That allowed Dwight to save his sister in time. Jeremiah escaped, but not before Dwight caught hold of him, tied him up, and burnt him to death. Speaking to USA TODAY, Robert Patrick said that while filming Tulsa King Season 3, he and Sylvester Stallone, who plays Dwight, had a conversation about Jeremiah's impending death and how it would happen. Stallone had apparently said,

“I’m still trying to come up with a great way to kill you.”

Patrick, in response, had said,

“I told him, ‘I’m sure interested in seeing what you come up with,’”

Patrick also said to USA TODAY,

"I thought about what it was going to be. I was surprised it was burning me alive.”

While it was foreshadowed in an earlier episode, Jeremiah's death by being burned was a little unexpected, and as Patrick pointed out,

“It’s a brutal ending,"

He also said,

"But I've gotta say, this is one of the top ways to go out, if you have to go."

There are indeed many bad ways in which a character can exit a show. Often, characters are just killed off behind the scenes or just shot. However, Dwight burning Jeremiah after he kidnapped Joanne was perhaps the best way for the character to die. It makes sense why Dwight would be so brutal, and Jeremiah got what he deserved. Besides, Robert Patrick was a part of the show for just one season, but he has left a mark. His dying a brutal death makes his death and exit from the show meaningful, given how limited his presence in the story was.

All episodes of Tulsa King Season 3 are streaming on Paramount+. The fourth season is currently in production and will likely be released towards the end of 2026.
