Everything you need to know before Industry Season 4 comes out

Season 1 of Industry began with a group of graduates, Harper Stern, Yasmin Kara Hanani, Robert Spearing, Augustus Sackey, and Hari Dhar joining Pierpoint & Co., an investment bank in London. From the start, there was intense pressure on them to perform well, because only the best would were to be given permanent jobs. Harper quickly proved that she would do anything to succeed. She hid the truth about her education and took extreme measures to impress senior leaders. Her drive did help her survive, but also made her enemies.

Yasmin on the other hand, had to deal with constant sexism and was often judged more for her appearance than her work. She leaned on Harper for support, but the growing competition between them gradually damaged their friendship. Hari Dhar unfortunately passed due to a heart attack after facing tremendous pressure at the firm. Pierpoint covered up the truth of his death, showing how little the firm cared about its employees. This deeply affected Gus, who then began to question everything about the company.

The season ended with Harper choosing Eric Tao over her boss Daria, saving her own future but costing Daria her job. Yasmin felt used and Gus gave a disrespectful presentation which jeopardized his career at Pierpoint.

Industry Season 2 took place after the pandemic, with employees returning to in person office. Harper secured a powerful client, hedge fund manager, Jesse Bloom. This deal brought in huge profits and raised her status, but it also put her at the center of dangerous office politics. Meanwhile, Eric Tao struggled to keep control as executives from New York interfered with the London office. His once-strong bond with Harper slowly began to break as well.

Yasmin moved into wealth management, hoping for a fresh start, but instead, she faced manipulation at work and growing problems at home, especially with her family's finances. Robert tried to stay clean and prove himself, but his addiction returned, and his poor choices led to his arrest. Gus felt lost and directionless as his decision to leak information ended his career at Pierpoint. The season ended with major layoffs, Harper being exposed for lying about her past, and Pierpoint entering a period of unending issues.

Industry Season 3 focused on Pierpoint fighting for survival during a takeover attempt. The Lumi green tech IPO was a promising change, but it brought more risk. Harper used secret information to bet against Pierpoint and left the firm to start her own business, finally stepping outside its control. Yasmin’s truth about her abusive father came out, explaining her deep need for safety and control, and she ultimately ended up getting married to Henry Muck for security, even though she loved Robert.

Robert found purpose in sustainable investing and began to imagine a future away from old mistakes. Eric Tao was forced out when Pierpoint was sold to Almir, ending his long and difficult journey at the firm. Rishi’s gambling debts led to his wife's death, and Pierpoint became Almiridge Pierpoint, setting a foundation for the events of Industry Season 4.

In Industry Season 4, the stakes will be higher than ever. Harper and Yasmin will compete to be at the top of the game, with a Fintech company and Henry Muck set to play significant roles as well.

Industry Season 4 will be released on HBO on January 11, 2026.
